It was great to see so many of you there and we hope you all had a great time with the fine combination for champion jerk cuisine, great music, sunshine and of course a little bit of Wray.

We do want to apologise to those who waited a long time to get in, as well as those that missed out on trying some of the great food of the day and we understand many were frustrated that a ticket did not guarantee you entry. Releasing tickets was a requirement for us in hosting The Jerk Fest and the venue’s security did their best to manage numbers in and out of the venue to ensure the safety of all present, however with so many in attendance this resulted in unfortunate delays, which again we apologise for.

Lastly, we regret having to close early and not to have shown "The Harder They Come" on the big screen. Due to noise complaints from local residents, we had to comply with an arrangement with the council to respect the neighbours surrounding the Bussey Building and with the venue at full capacity we were not willing to put any of our guests' health and safety at risk and made the call to close the event a few hours early.

This is the first time we have hosted the Jerk Fest competition and really appreciate all of your support with so many people attending. We will be using all of your feedback and suggestions to refine future events in order to improve the experience for everyone.

Thank you from all the team at Wray & Nephew and we hope to see you at our next event."Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11735828140954046581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-886321596911483273.post-45779302266196353452016-08-07T01:51:38.088-07:002016-08-07T01:51:38.088-07:00We travelled all the way from North London to this...We travelled all the way from North London to this event. When we arrived we were told it was closed because they had run out of rum and food! It was only 8pm! It is my understanding this event has been held here before so Surely the promoters would ensure they had enough food and drink! Extremely disappointing and a total waste of time.
