To promote their new boat show the Formenter, Timberland are opening a pop-up shop in the form of a boat at the London Boat Show at the Excel Centre.
"In January 2012, ‘The Timberland’ – a specially designed pop up shop in the form of a contemporary sailing boat – will be moored at the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show which runs from January 6th to the 15th at London‘s ExCel exhibition centre.
This innovative stand - created by experiential specialist Sense – will showcase Timberland’s Spring 2012 range of boat shoes. Show visitors will be available to purchase products from the latest range - offering effortless style as well as functionality, including the Formentor Boat Shoe as worn by the Spanish Olympic Sailing Team, alongside the Classic boat shoe and ladies Ballerina slip-ons.
In addition to offering consumers the chance to make early purchases from the new range, there will be a variety of nautical challenges such as ‘The Winch challenge’ – that invites consumers to see how quickly they can wind the winch! In return, branded Timberland prizes will be on offer for the best ‘sailors’ who’ve excelled at these challenges, designed to associate a sense of fun and engagement with the brand, whilst educating and driving awareness amongst sailing enthusiasts as to what Timberland can offer them."
