The Lovely Merchants' Pre-Christmas Market in Mornington Crescent

The Lovely Merchants, a group of designer makers, return to Mornington Crescent on 25th November to hold their pre-Christmas Market.  Expect unusual crafted gifts, vintage, 'posh jumble', and also food.  Plus, it's held above a pub, so you get all of the usual pleasures associated with that!  I went to the pre-Valentine's event in February - this will also be very good for buying very original gifts.

"Christina Wilson, photographer, and online shopkeeper Amanda Cox of Nonesuchthings bring you another Lovely Merchants event just in time for Christmas.
Merchants include
Nell Card or Nell's (Vintage Homeware)
Described as a "roving, evolving, carefully curated vintage homeware collection", Nell's is a new venture from Guardian editor and journalist. Nell will be selling affordable and unique vintage items for the home ranging from handmade period textiles to unusual yet utilitarian kitchenware. Each item has been hand-picked for its uniqueness with London living-quarters in mind. Nell's website features a sneak-preview of latest stock. nellsvintagehomeware.com
Jane Howard
For Lovely Merchants Jane Howard will be presenting a new selection of small scale sculptures. All of which will be individually handmade and limited edition. Her 'Worldly Quail Egg' will be for sale. By intricately mixing blue paint with the natural pattern of the shell, these eggs become like miniature globes. Each with a different landmass, they are an original object to give or own and are packaged to perfection. Cards and prints will also be available. janehoward.co.uk
Christina Wilson
Beautiful cards and prints, plus new Christmas cards from photographer Christina. Inspired by images of everyday life - images can be anything from a simple teacup to a stunning view or just something that she finds simply beautiful. Christina likes the unobvious - a bare tree, a worn out chair, the imperfect - but somehow makes it seem special. christinawilson.co.uk
Online shopkeeper Amanda Cox will have a special Christmas Shop selling all the Nonesuchthings favourites and some one-offs too. Expect to find carefully chosen gifts, wrapping supplies, stocking fillers for grown-up girls too plus lots more. nonesuchthings.com
