Karen Morrison (previously) comes to Clerkenwell in March and May to show and sell her jewellery from Craft Central's Corner Shop.
"Karen Morrison Jewellery is popping up at the Craft Central shop on Clerkenwell Green for three stunning stints in 2013. At the boutique you'll be able to browse over her latest S/S 13 collections of fine and fashion jewellery, as well as acquire pieces from past collections at fantastic prices. This is a rare chance to view and buy pieces direct from the designer and choose from her varied collections, as well as picking up one-off pieces. From deco to voodoo her influences are as elegantly expressed as they are diverse. Her beautiful creations are handcrafted in her London studio using precious and semi-precious beads mixed with sterling silver, 9ct gold and rose-gold plated brass and Swarovski crystal. Karen is inspired by the natural environment and has a life-long passion for fashion, both contemporary and vintage. She is also influenced by photography, modern architecture, film and the Art Deco period.
Her jewellery features in magazines such as Vogue, ELLE, Red and Grazia. And last year saw her design and make the jewellery for Topshop’s UNIQUE s/s 13 catwalk show, which is presently being sold in their Oxford Circus flagship store.
Her first stint, 5th-10th March is a perfect opportunity to pick up a beautiful piece of handmade jewellery for your Mum for Mother's Day, which falls on 10th March. You will also be able to preview Karen's new spring/summer 2013 collections before they hit the shops. These include the Spring Neon collection; neon reds and yellows mixed with hematite and grey pearls. And her Great Gatsby inspired ‘Gemstone Flapper’ range, which features a stunning ‘deco’ style headband made from rose gold brass chains and rose quartz gemstones.
There will also be selected sample pieces for sale at up to 70% off."
