Picnic are taking over the kitchen at The Hideaway Bar in N19 this April, for dinner on Saturday and brunch and dinner, with DJs playing.
"We are really excited to welcome the arrival in April of a pop-up kitchen from Picnic. Bringing to you the best of the British garden indoors, Picnic will be hosting a series of springtime parties - and you're invited! Each weekend, the Picnic party will swing into life on Saturday night and carry right on through until Sunday evening. Every weekend you'll have the chance to sample three separate menus, across dinner, brunch and supper. So whether you're a night time owl, early bird or Sunday afternoon rooster, there's more than one reason to come down and get involved.
Picnic’s food celebrates British flavours and produce with a nod to the multi-cultural influences that make the food scene in Britain amongst the most vibrant and progressive anywhere in the world today. For one month only, this will be happening on your doorstep at The Hideaway and you'd be an April fool to miss it!
Saturday night’s dinner menu will feature a host of ‘British Tapas’ such as Pork belly cracklings, caramelised apples & cauliflower puree and Venison & parsnip kebabs with a plum dip. Other highlights include Root vegetable crumble and Pan-fried mackerel, watercress and garden salsa. A selection of side dishes and puddings will also be available.
Saturday night dinner tickets are £15 and include two tapas and one side.
For Sunday brunch you can choose from sumptious treats such as sweet and savoury Pancakes (fillings include Grilled Somerset Brie, caramelised red onion and crispy bacon and Strawberries, sugar and clotted cream), a Full English, fruit smoothies, granola and ice-cold cordials.
Finally, Picnic’s Sunday Supper will offer a selection of easy-going food for laid-back Sundays. Main courses include a selection of Homemade burgers, Board of herb and lemon roast chicken with stuffing and Potted smoked salmon with lemon and toast, with sides such as Picnic’s Chorizo scotch egg and ‘Posh’ coleslaw. You’ll also be able to make yourself a Sunday Picnic - choose one main and two sides from the Sunday Supper menu for just £10!
Meanwhile, Sunday DJs will be on hand to lay down a soundtrack of laid-back house, funk and soul to provide the perfect accompanying vibes to your feast."
