This is an intriguing collaboration. 409 in Clapham are hosting a night with Waitrose comprising a tasting menu, complemented by wines from Waitrose. £40 gets you the tasting menu, with different wines for each course.
"On Tuesday 4th June 2013, four o nine will be delivering affordable luxury in the form of their Foodies Wine Night tasting menu, made complete with wines from Waitrose that are all available to buy locally for under £12.
The Waitrose inspired Foodies Wine Night will include a delicious tasting menu that pairs four delectable but affordable Waitrose wines found in Clapham Common’s little Waitrose with four complementing dishes. Each of the dishes has been designed specially by four o nine’s head chef Dariusz Zajac to enhance the notes and flavours of the individual wines and take guests on a fantastic taste adventure. Guests will also be treated to canapés with an aperitif to start, and petit fours with coffee and tea to finish.
Never missing an opportunity to support their chosen charity The Children’s Air Ambulance, four o nine will also hold a special raffle, giving guests the chance to win a beautiful bottle of vintage wine.
The best part? four o nine’s Foodies Wine Night only costs £40 per person, making fine dining all that more accessible. They ask that all guests arrive at 7pm for a prompt 7.30pm start.
Each of the four wines included in four o nine’s sumptuous Foodies Wine Night menu were hand picked by Waitrose’s wine specialist, and highlight the superb range of wines on sale for under £12 in each of their stores."
