Ben & Aneesha (AKA France & Noonan) are holding a one night celebration of the Deep South at The Dead Dolls Club on Monday 24th, with a menu that includes shrimp & grits, Cajun pork & rice meatballs, and lots of moonshine. I'll drink to that!
"We've travelled the back roads, paddled the swamps and been down on the Bayou to bring you a taste of the Deep South.
You give us £20 and we give you three classic Southern dishes...
First up Shrimp & Grits from the Low Country of the Carolinas. Grits get a bad rep but give them enough love (ie butter & cheese) and they'll be a friend for life.
In the middle, Boudin Blanc - Cajun pork & rice meatballs - with a Creole sauce, fried mac'n'cheese slice and collard greens.
Bringing up the rear it's Georgia's finest, Peach Cobbler, with Bourbon ice cream & pecan brittle.
Doors open at 7pm and we'll start serving at 7.45pm. The Dead Dolls Club will be serving their finest moonshine all night.
