Dhaba Lane's One night Indian-Chinese Pop-up in Walthamstow

On Monday 24th March E17 Pop-up is hosting a Dhaba Lane Indian/Chinese dinner in Hoe Street, Walthamstow.  Dhabas are roadside shacks on the Indian Highways, traditionally where the trucks would stop for a refreshing chai (tea) or a home cooked, filling meal. Over time, their character and good food attracted a varied crowd, and this is the hope for Monday.  Go along!

"Over the years, Indian cuisine has been influenced by Chinese flavors, all thanks to the small Chinese migrant community in Kolkata that led to the origin of what is known as "Indian Chinese". Indian Chinese can be found in swanky restaurants fully dedicated to this cuisine or corner sweet shops serving everything from street food to sweets to Indian Chinese.
On Monday 24th March you will get a wonderful glimpse of this cuisine, with a tasty, generous
