The Backdoor Kitchen returns to Brixton this summer with a residency at Cornercopia in Brixton Village from Friday - Saturday on alternate weeks, starting Thursday 26th June. There will be a regular dinner menu at £25 for five courses, plus other items a la carte - see full listing below. I love how Brixton is now seeing many more pop-ups!
"The Aperitivo Experience is back!
After the enormous success of Backdoor Salon last summer, the devilish team of the Backdoor Kitchen is back to Brixton, sponsored by Aperol Spritz UK for the second year in a row, for a new Aperitivo adventure in the beautiful space of Cornercopia right at the centre of the buzz of the village.
A complete new list of stylish cocktails, kickass tapas and cicchetti plus handsome boys and girls frim 5:30pm for whomever wants to drop by. Reserve a table and a drink by emailing us at email@example.com.

SAMPLE Dinner Menu
(same dishes may slightlty change but fear not! We won't give mutton for squid. We are sensible people)
Fritti alla Romana - selection of -roman style deep-fried vegetables and seafood
Montadito de Pulpo - A whole marinated tentacle splashed with saffron alioli and served on a bun
Farro e Gamberetti - Spelt salad marinated in Basil and topped with cucumber, Sicilian tomato, Mango and Red Onion tartare, char-grilled prawn and a succulent secret gravy
Fabada 2.0 - Broadbean Salad with Chorizo, Morcilla, Lomo and a Mussel, Clam sautee cooked in Fino sherry, garlic, lemon and chive
Iberico estilo Gringo - pulled Iberico pork cheeks marinated in Mediterrean herbs and spices. Served with Sicilian Spinach, sultana, pine kernel and caper salad. Topped with spicy red wine sauce and homemade Focaccia bread.
A la Carte Aperitivo menu will also include:
Saltimbocca spiedini - Drunken Chicken, guanciale and Parma ham and Sage skewers served with a white wine sauce
Meatballs! - Pork, beef and Italian herbs deep-fried meatballs served with salsa Verde and chive mayonnaise
Hamburguesa de cecina - Chickpea burger with Spinach, sultana and pine kernel salad. Served with whipped goat's cheese and honey.
