Fatman & Friends are holdng a pop-up on Saturday 6th September at The Pill Box, in Bethnal Green, E2. £40 gets you the menu detailed below, including Buttermilk Chicken and Pork Loin, with a negroni or Cosmo to start.
"A night of fabulous food, wine, cocktails and Fatfun.
Amalgamating their passion for great cooking, artisan wines and cocktail making, FATMAN AND FRIENDS will create a unique dining experience. Evolving from both a professional and personal desire, Chef Matt Hiltemann (Medcalf) and FOH Mathew Smallbane (Quo Vadis) will deliver a menu of tailor-made cocktails, inspirational food, and wines to match.
Here’s the menu on the night:
A Fatman’s Negroni or a Fatman’s Cosmo
Fatman’s amuse bouche
Buttermilk chicken with lemon and tarragon purée
Brill on crispy fish skin, beetroot tartare sauce, avocado and sorrel
Pork loin, fresh pine, caramalised apple, puffed pork skin and English mustard
Lamb rump with spiced barley yogurt, cucumber and pistachio
Lime and sorrel granita with cucumber
Hiltemann’s doughnut
*There will be a vegetarian option available but please let us know in advance.
Plus specially selected wines and a local lager. Wine pairing will also be available"
