Update - Back for 2015 from Friday 16th January
KERB has just unveiled a new indoor winter space, The Clubhouse, in Hackney Wick. It's on Monier Road, E3, just across the river Lea from Hackney Wick Station and other Hackney Wick places like Crate Brewery, it's going to be home to lots of street food traders like Bleecker Burger, Fundi Pizza and Kimchinary, plus bars and more, on Fridays and Saturdays, starting 5th December. "It’s here: the next step for KERB and our community of 50 street food traders. We’re moving to Hackney Wick, a place we love, to build the first proper home of KERB.
We’ve spent two years roaming around the city and while the KERB lunch markets will keep on rolling as usual, we feel now is the time to settle down into a winter space we can call our own.
The site is an old mirror workshop on Fish Island, close to the excellent Counter Cafe/Stour Space and a few minutes’ walk from CRATE. It’s a large, spacious warehouse due to be demolished in mid-March, at which point the site will be turned into live/work spaces for local creative types.
Up until the wrecking balls move in we’re going to use THE CLUBHOUSE to bring out the best of our own innovative community, filling it with brilliant KERB traders trialing new ideas and running their own nights and events. We’ll be bringing in great London beer and racking up some tasty cocktails, with local DJs and live music too.
THE CLUBHOUSE will host Friday and Saturday evening events throughout the winter and showcase EXCLUSIVE NEW DISHES from many of the KERB favourites.
The space will include ‘The Bleecker Box’, a Bleecker Burger diner and can bar serving up a secret Hackney Wick special, and a Fundi Pizza counter with a wood fired oven they made themselves. Expect one-off specials and new menus from Miss P’s, Luardos, Kimchinary and more."
When - Fridays & Saturdays for the winter, from 5th December
6pm - 11pm

Tickets - Free entry, but I expect it to be busy, so go early to be sure to get in!
