Dhaba Lane's Indian High Chai Afternoon Tea in Shoreditch

On Saturday 31st January Dhaba Lane is holding a special Indian 'High Chai' afternoon tea at their place on Leonard Street, EC2, just off Shoreditch High Street.  Full menu below - it will last from 4pm to 6.30pm.

"Generally had right after the quintessential afternoon nap, chai and biscuit is intrinsic part of the Indian food culture.
The 'right' way to make tea is with spices (ginger, cardamom, cloves), loose teas leaves and most importantly hot milk! The 'right' way  to drink tea is to dip the biscuit in the tea and enjoy the moist deliciousness.
The Indian High Tea - over which marriages are agreed, disputes settles and deals signed is a more elaborate affair. A bit of savoury, a bit of sweet and but of course the 'garam pyala' (hot mug) of chai it can be quite a heavy affair!
We look forward to welcoming you to our secret, cozy underground cafe. We hope to replicate the hospitality of a typical Indian tea party for you - so sit back, enjoy and let us as the host make your visit memorable.
