On Satuday 21st March the Lights Out pop-up cocktail bar will be opening at Reece 79 hair salonin Abbeville Road, SW4. Running on the last Saturday of each month (but 3rd Sat of Mar), it;s the brainchild of James Bishop and the owner of the salon, Reese Wayman Firth. James has experience running bars at The Isle of Wight Festival, British Grand Prix, London Fashion Week and London 2012 Olympic Games, so knows what he's doing. Note that entry is by password, so follow them on Twitter to see what it will be!
"Lights Out announces its first pop-up experience will launch in Clapham on Saturday 21st March at 7.30pm at Reece 79 hair salon.
Lights Out will capture the spirit of the 1920s by creating a drinking den in the local hairdressers of Clapham. The company will transport you back to time to show you that any space can be turned into a local watering hole; all you need is a live music, dandies and flappers as bartenders and some strong liquor.
The pop-up bar will become a permanent feature in Reece 79 on the last Saturday of every month as Lights Out aims to bring the quality of West-End cocktail bars to South London through different pop-up experiences.
Entrance to the speakeasy is free but be sure to follow @lightsoutpopup to find out the password for entry. After all, it wouldn’t be a speakeasy if the bar just let in any Tom, Dick or Harry in!"
