Kali Cooking's Flaming Flamingo supper club comes out of her home this April and into the upstairs space at The Joker of Penton pub in Penton Street, between King's Cross and Angel. £33 gets you a welcome drink, followed by a four course Mexican / Asian fusion menu, including seafood cooked in spiced coconut, served with chillis.

The Joker in Angel has a quirky upstairs space that’s perfect for us.. But first the food!
To welcome in this change I’ve decided to go with some favourite flavours to get you in gear for spring and excited about what the future may hold...
Along with this I’ve also added in some of what I picked up from recent travels to Bangkok and Mexico City. Culinary destinations for sure!
We’re starting as always with a welcome drink and some nibbles.
Followed by a four course menu of:
A twisted ceviche
Charred green and pink salad with aguachile dressing
Seafood cooked in spiced coconut served with pickled chiles, black rice, avocado, toasted beans and greens
finishing off with
Chocolate with pandan peanut caramel, pandan cream and coconut
I’ll be sourcing my fish from my usual place at Borough Market so whatever fish is best that that day we’ll go with.
Special dietary requirements can be catered for if you let me know in advance please!
The Joker has a wonderful selection of wines to accompany your meal and a fully stocked bar where you can stay on and keep drinking the night away (3am)"
