The Cornwall Project, which brings the best of Cornish produce to some of London's top restaurants, has opened a six week barbecue in 3 great London pubs. The barbecues are now open in The Duke of Edinburgh in Brixton (SW9), The Adam & Eve in Homerton (E9), and The Three Crowns in Stoke Newington (NW16). Each day the BBQs will serve great Cornish meat, plus seafood and shellfish. Expect things like 9oz aged rump steak, grilled Looe sardines, and whole Padstow brown crab. Go!
"The Cornwall Project is hugely excited to announce The Cornwall Project BBQ.
The six week event will take place across three London pub BBQs and grills; the Adam & Eve in Homerton, the Three Crowns in Stoke Newington and The Duke of Edinburgh in Brixton starting on Monday 13th July.
This event marks The Cornwall Project's first foray into south London giving Brixton residents the chance to test their renowned produce.
The event has been devised by Cornwall Project head Matt Chatfield as a way to support his native Cornwall's fisherman.
He had this to say about it - "For decades the Cornish day boat community has relied on the Spanish market to buy its wonderful selection of locally caught shellfish. Cornish Lobster, Spider Crab and Brown Crab have been hugely popular there for a long time but with the Spanish market weakening it can no longer be relied upon to support Cornwall's brave day boat fleet.
To help with this we have set up our own direct links between the fishermen and some of our favourite pubs in London. We will be collecting their exceptionally fresh shellfish and delivering it direct to your plates in Brixton, Homerton and Stoke Newington on the same day!"
As well as Cornwall's renowned seafood the Cornwall Project chef team will also be serving up a selection of Cornwall's finest steaks, burgers and vegetables."
