The Porridge Cafe's 4 Course Weekend Brunch at The Joker of Penton in Islington

The team behind The Porridge Cafe, which was a massive hit last year, is back with a new brunch, initially happening for just one weekend at The Joker of Penton pub in Islington.  They will be serving up a four course menu for slightly over £20 on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June, with seatings at 10.30am and 1pm, featuring porridge, but also eggs, ham hock and lots more.  Plus the bar staff will be making special brunch cocktails to order - go!

"The people behind London’s first ever Porridge Café will be back with a new Three Bears Brunch pop up. For one weekend only – from Saturday 25 to Sunday 26 June - brunch lovers can find the pop up at The Joker Pub in Islington, North London.
London foodies will be able to enjoy a four course brunch menu which will feature a 3 hour slow-cooked coconut lemon infused porridge with basil, caramelised peach and salted macadamia nut brittle.
Other courses include:
Slow Poached Quails Eggs, Kale Puree, Asparagus Tips, Avocado and Six-Seed Toast Points
Potato Hash, Roasted Field Mushroom, Smoked Ham Hock And Cider Hollandaise Sauce
Hazelnut & Walnut Waffle Drops with Pineberry, Melon & Melted Kinder Chocolate
Specially created brunch cocktails will be served alongside the food by the mixologists at The Joker.
Nik Williamson, Founder of the Porridge Café said: "After the success of the Porridge Café I want to start sharing some of the new recipes I have been creating behind closed doors, using new techniques and flavours. Brunch is such a great way to mix savoury and sweet in one meal and its rarely elevated to the same status as dinner""
