The 'Chicken of the Woods' Seasonal British Pop-up in Muswell Hill - Fridays
Chicken of the Woods, the North London pop-up specialising in seasonal, rustic British is back for a new series of pop-ups, this time at Flesh & Flour in Muswell Hill. It's taking place every Firday night, and the food will be accompanied by wine from small independent producers. I went to one of these last year and it was fantastic - highly recommended!
"Chicken of the Woods takes inspiration from rustic 'hole in the wall' bars and cafe's from around Europe with jugs of local wine, cured meats and plates of simple food to graze and share
We have joined forces with Flesh and Flour in Muswell Hill to do a weekly Friday pop up like no other carefully sourcing our wine in 5 litre bags from small independent natural wine producers and complementing with rustic seasonal cooking.
All viewed through the lens of a folksy British chef with over two decades of award-winning experience, whose style is an amalgam of influences that include the passionate use of seasonal produce, the rural landscape, researching heritage recipes, supporting cottage industry suppliers and cooking nose to tail.
But his main influence is the social development of Englands rich and diverse food history being enhanced and remoulded by Europe's fine culinary heritage.
Our first evening is Friday 8th September then every Friday going forward.
Reservations start from 7.00 pm till 9.00 pm
There will be a few tables left open for walk-ins on the night."
