Donnelly's Restaurant's Residency at The Sun & 13 Cantons in Soho

Donnelly's Restaurant, by chef James Donnelly, has taken over the kitchen at The Sun & 13 Cantons in Soho, serving Tuesdays to Saturdays until Christmas 2018.  Expect modern British cooking, using the best seasonal British produce, from this chef who has worked his way up through a career that includes Tom's Kitchen and The Palmerston in East Dulwich.  Looking forward to trying this one!

"James Donnelly hails from Cambridge and opens Donnelly’s Restaurant, an extended pop up at the Sun & 13 Cantons on Beak Street in Soho, from Mon September 3rd 2018 until Christmas.
Donnelly’s is relaxed, modern British cooking with a huge focus on and respect for British provenance – from cheese, to meat, to fish. James is very proud to support small producers and suppliers such as Todenham Manor Farm, Montogomery’s, Forest Coalpit Farm in Abergavenny and Hackney Gelato.
James began his career in the kitchen at The Three Horseshoes in Madingley, just outside Cambridge.  He was just 16 years old.  Four years later, he arrived in London and did a stage at top restaurants such as The River CafĂ©.  He joined The Palmerston in East Dulwich, one of London’s best-loved pubs, as CDP, alongside Jamie Younger who was Bibendum trained, under Simon Hopkinson.  He left five years ago as Head Chef.
James then joined Tom Aikens (Tom’s Kitchen) as Head Chef where he was able to flex his creative muscles and really hone his skills in terms of flavours, style and real focus on Modern British cooking.
Earlier this year, he ran a residency at Louie Louie in Elephant & Castle and his latest venture in Soho is his proudest moment yet."
