Net-a-Porter are opening a pop-up shop for Karl Lagerfeld in Covent Garden this afternoon (Wednesday) only, as part of the launch of the new 'Karl' line on the site. The pop-up events are happening in 5 cities around the world, starting at 3.30pm UK time. Free goodie bags for the first few people through the doors, apparently!
"As the countdown begins for Karl Lagerfeld's new and more affordable line, Net-A-Porter will be hosting five international pop-up store windows - in London, Paris, New York, Berlin and Sydney - featuring its edit of the new collection on Wednesday January 25, the day of the label's launch. Shoppers will be able to buy and win pieces, using the iPad2 and iPhones, and take home Karl goodie bags and T-shirts. London's event will be held at Covent Garden's Unit 3 at 3.30pm on Wednesday, whilst the designer himself will celebrate the launch in Paris on the same day; opening a mysterious cube bearing his face that appeared on Friday in Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés, containing unseen film footage."
