Ferdie's Food Lab's forthcoming Supper Clubs in Whitechapel

Ferdie's Food Lab is run by Simon Fernandez at Toynbee Hall, a historic building in Whitechapel.  Simon is a very experienced chef and supper club organiser, and while menus aren't available in advance, he promises a 5-7 course feast on each night, with a proportion of the diners' contributions going to charity.

"ferdiesfoodlab is a little different to other supper clubs. For a start it's more of a social banquet kind of event!  There aren't any tables for 2.  The food comes out on sharing platters that are designed to get you talking!  The idea is to to engage, chat and perhaps make new friends by sharing the elements of the food that's served.  We try and change the menu as often as possible in order to give a new experience to our growing numbers of returning guests.
If you (or anyone in your group) have not been to a supper club before it's very important you, understand what to expect.  It is not a restaurant.  Many of us have eaten in restaurants and it's important to mention at this point that ferdiesfoodlab is not a restaurant.  It's a supper club run in collaboration with Toynbee Hall, a charity that aims to alleviate problems caused by poverty and rolling successful solutions out nationally. 25% of your donation goes directly to the work that they do fighting poverty in the local community.
Most of what's left after that goes to staffing, equipment and the development of new menus and ideas.
We generally don't do specials such as vegan / vegetarian / no prawns / no pork / no beef / no noise / no atmosphere etc etc.  Watch this space though as we hope to do so once we are more established and, practically, have more staff ! :-)
At the end of the evening we ask you to make a minimum suggested donation - £45 for a 6 course evening banquet.  Don't let paying the minimum be a hard and fast rule though - if you think its worth more, we won't object to you contributing more!  :-)"
