Wright Brothers' Oyster Shucking Classes in Soho

This sounds like an entertaining foodie evening.  From now until January Wright Brothers are offering oyster shucking classes at their Soho restaurant.  Oyster shucking is effectively opening the oyster and preparing it to be eaten.  You then get to eat them (yay) with some champagne.  It's available for booking for 2 or more people at a time.

"During the oyster-shucking classes, you’ll learn how to shuck half-a-dozen of the finest oysters with the help of Wright Brothers’ expert team, and pick up all the tricks of the trade needed to do justice to oysters when you serve them at home. Once you’ve mastered the technique, you’ll enjoy the fruits of your labour washed down with a glass of Gaston Chicquet champagne.
The Wright Brothers supply London’s leading restaurants with oysters from their Duchy Oyster Farm in Cornwall, as well as serving the finest seafood at their Soho Oyster House and Borough Oyster and Porter House - so what they can’t tell you about cultivating, harvesting, serving and eating these delicacies isn’t worth knowing."

When - Monday - Thursday, until January

Where - Wright Brothers Soho Oyster House, 13 Kingly Street, W1B 5PW

Tickets - The shucking classes are priced at £20 per person and are available for groups of between 2 and 10 people, with bookings available at 6pm Monday-Thursday.  To book call 020 7434 3611
