After Hours Dessert, featuring the chefs from Free Company, popped up for a two taster before Christmas, and is now back for a properly scheduled run of dates in February and March. Note that one of the dates is Valentine's Day...
"Following their successful December preview, After Hours will return to Store St Espresso, Bloomsbury, throughout February and March. They will be appearing fortnightly on Friday and Saturday evenings, as well as Valentines Day, Thursday 14th February.
After Hours’ mission is to champion modern and innovative dessert and will be working with different pastry chefs over the coming months, with regular dessert-only evenings at independent coffee shops across London. It’s a new project from Live & Let Dine, the people behind The Mince Pie Project.
The team of chefs at Free Company, who have previously been in residence at House of Wolf & The Endurance, are in charge of food for February and March. Sample dishes include ‘Chocolate ganache, salted caramel, peanut butter, peanut brittle, milk panna cotta’ and ‘Banana and lime ice cream, roasted banana, brown butter puree, caramel glass’.
After Hours have also teamed up with Geoff Robinson of Hoxton cocktail bar Happiness Forgets, who will be putting one, perfect cocktail on the menu for the opening weekend, 8th & 9th February.
Food will be served from 8pm-11pm. Dessert, coffee & petit fours will cost £10, and a tasting menu of 3 desserts, coffee & petit fours £20. No reservations, except Valentines Day, for which there is a special 3-course dessert tasting menu, plus a glass of sparkling wine, coffee & petit fours for £25, with tickets available here.."
