The 'SOUVENIR' pop-up shop of London souvenirs (that don't suck) in Clerkenwell

For six days from 5th August a pop-up shop in Clerkenwell will be selling a collection of interesting London souvenirs, curated by Creative Clerkenwell. Called - um - SOUVENIR, it's going to include work from UK artists and designers - in prints and physical objects - and there's a launch party on Thursday 7th (details below)

"Join us for SOUVENIR, a pop-up shop and showcase of London souvenirs (that don’t suck), curated by Charlene Lam of Creative Clerkenwell.
Go beyond the tourist tat found in Heathrow gift shops and Piccadilly Square. SOUVENIR will highlight quality alternatives, inspired by the city, designed and made in the UK, with a true connection to what makes the city so great.
Featuring work from UK artists and designers including:
- Mini Moderns‘ new Props collection for the National Theatre and 2014 Year of the Bus commissions for the London Transport Museum
- selected architectural sculptures from Chisel & Mouse‘s recent Brutalist collection
- London-inspired designs from illustrator Michelle Mason, co-owner of Columbia
Road’s Mason & Painter
- a potted history of London souvenirs by historian Jane Young (tentatively titled “300 Years of Tat”)"
