The National Theatre's 'The Deck' Pop-up Cinema on The South Bank


For six days, from Monday 11th to Saturday 16th August The National Theatre is hosting a rooftop cinema above the theatre to screen classic recordings of two of it's recent theatre shows.  London Assurance (with Simon Russell Beale) is playing at 1.30pm, and One Man, Two Guvnors, (with James Corden) at 7pm.  Tickets are £25 for adults and £20 for under 18s, and the price includes a hotdog, popcorn, and a welcome drink.  All together now: "A pub - with food!" *

"Theatre buffs and film fans roll up, roll up! For one week only – 11-16 August 2014 – the National Theatre’s rooftop events venue The Deck is lifting the curtains on its pop-up summer cinema club and you’re invited.
If you missed James Corden’s Tony Award-winning performance in critically acclaimed comedy One Man, Two Guvnors or failed to secure tickets for Dion Boucicault’s sparkling Victorian comedy, London Assurance with Simon Russell Beale and Fiona Shaw you can book your comfy deck chair now to enjoy exclusive screenings of these on-stage hits, surrounded by spectacular views of London’s skyline from The Deck’s panoramic terrace. Both productions were filmed live on stage while they were playing at the NT.
Tickets are available priced at £25 for adults and £20 for children (18 or under), including a personal film fan’s feast of a loaded Brazilian hot dog, sweet and salted popcorn and a welcome drink. London Assurance will show at 1:30pm daily and One Man, Two Guvnors screenings are at 7:00pm."
