Update - El Bandito, a tequila & mescal bar based in Liverpool, which was popping up in Shoreditch under The Drunken Monkey has now moved to Victory Manson at 18 Stoke Newington High Street, N16. It's open Tuesday - Sunday, 5pm til late, and you should expect cocktails - lots of them - at prices ranging from £9 to £12, using some of the 50 different tequilas and 25 mescals.
"Having successfully introduced the East London masses to the wonders and versatility of agave spirits, the mezcal and tequila-loving team behind El Bandito are now packing up their bags and moving North for their second pop-up residency, which will be taking place at Victory Mansion in Stoke Newington, from 21st May.
The El Bandito brand is the brainchild of business partners John Ennis and Matt Farrell, whom having enjoyed great success with their six Liverpool venues, are now focusing on establishing their presence in the South, firstly with this transferrable Mexican inspired pop-up, before finally settling down in a permanent home in the Capital.
Hidden away from the atmospheric buzz of Stoke Newington High Street, the new residency will take place under popular neighbourhood bar and restaurant, Victory Mansion. Introducing a brand new Asia & South American infused menu this month, Victory Mansion is the perfect pairing partner for El Bandito, as guests can enjoy a flavoursome dinner upstairs, followed by creative cocktails in the downstairs agave-addled drinking den.
The El Bandito pop-up menu features an impressive selection of approximately fifty tequilas and thirty mezcals, many of which are incorporated into the inventive cocktail menu. The menu is accessible for a range of palates, and features everything from frozen watermelon margaritas, to more complex concoctions, such as the Kale Mezcalarita, which combines Illegal mezcal, kale juice, ginger, agave and lime juice.."
