We`ll be cooking a 3 course meal that will be paired with and directly influenced by 3 incredible beers from our favourite craft breweries in London as part of London Beer City week.
The Brewery Kitchen founder and head chef Jamie Halsall combines his vast experience at top London restaurants including The Dorchester, Launceston Place and Roux at Parliament Square with a passion for beer and home brewing. He is keen to highlight the many similarities between the processes of beer making and cooking – and to show how these similarities can be used to create new flavours.
Our accredited beer sommelier will also be talking you through each beer and the story behind the breweries. We will explain how each beer was carefully selected to match the flavor profile of each dish – and where similar ingredients have been used by both chef and brewer."

The 'Plymouth Gin Dock' Outdoor Terrace at Rivington Grill in Greenwich

This summer Plymouth Gin and Rivington Grill in Greenwich have created the Plymouth Gin Dock, an outdoor terrace serving up cocktails.  It's open daily until 18th September, and each day from 4pm - 7pm there is a 'Plymouth Hour' where gin & tonics cost just £5.  Too good to miss!

"This summer, Plymouth Gin has teamed up with Rivington Greenwich to create the Plymouth Gin Dock, a nautical themed outdoor terrace. From 1 July – 18 September, guests visiting the Plymouth Gin Dock can treat themselves to a series of specially created gin cocktails, inspired by the rich maritime heritage of Greenwich.
Between 4pm-7pm each day, the ‘Pennant Flag’ will be hoisted to signify the start of the Plymouth “Hour”, with Gin and Tonics for £5. The Pennant Flag was historically used by naval ships when in harbour to signal an invitation to others to gather and enjoy gin on their ship.
Plymouth Gin is a living legend in the archives of drinks history. The world's first spirit to be called 'dry gin' when it was first developed in 1793, it is the only English gin to be granted a Protected Geographical Indication from the European Union. Loved both by the British Royal Navy and by famed explorers, Plymouth Gin sailed the seven seas and travelled from pole to pole, gaining notoriety at every port of call. The Plymouth Gin family of unique artisan spirits has stood the test of time.
Now Rivington Greenwich will be embracing this heritage by creating a series of neo-classic and daringly modern cocktails with this legendary spirit.
They include:
The Pennant - Plymouth, Plymouth sloe gin, Antica Formula, Apricot brandy, Lemon, Orange - £9
Bitter Peach - Plymouth Navy, Plymouth Fruit Cup, Crème de Pêche, Koko Kanu, Grapefruit - £8.50
Barbican Southside - Plymouth Navy, Plymouth Fruit Cup, Soda - £8
Apple Smash - Plymouth Gin, Plymouth Fruit Cup, Apple, Pink Grapefruit, Lemon, Mint - £7.50
Pink Gin - Plymouth Navy, Angostura bitters, Lemon twist - £9
Harrison’s Martini - Plymouth Gin, Lillet Blanc, Plymouth Fruit Cup - £8.50"

When - Daily until 18th September
Open all day from lunch time, Monday to Friday & from 10am on the weekends
Monday to Friday: 12 noon to 11pm (NB Bar menu available all day)
Saturday: 10am to 11pm
Sunday: 12 noon to 10pm
'Plymouth Hour' - 4pm - 7pm each day with gin & tonics for £5

Cucina Rustica's Italian Residency at The Rose and Crown in Kentish Town

Cucina Rustica, a hyperlocal Italian pop-up kitchen, is coming to The Rose and Crown in Torriano Avenue, NW5 for 3 months from 2nd August 2016, Tuesday - Sunday.  Founded by Giorgio Fabian Honey, it builds on both is Sicilian heritage, and the idea of locally sourced food, to bring something special to Kentish Town.  It'll be serving daily in the pub, from 6pm during the week, and from 2pm at weekends.  Go!

"Having grew up in a Sicilian family, as a little chubby kid running around the kitchens of his families six restaurants, cooking was always going to be like a second nature. With a previous style of original, LA inspired fusion food Giorgio strips back all of his past gimmicks and brings with him a menu that is influenced by classic, rustic Italian/Sicilian street food and small plate modern antipasti.
Here at the Rustic Kitchen we try our hardest to source the most local ingredients to wherever we set up shop.
With our first residency being held in Kentish Town NW5 we are currently sourcing our artisan bread from an independant baker in N10 who also uses beer brewed in N10 as a ferment, freshly made pasta from NW10, vegboxes from NW5, homegrown herbs from NW3 and meat from a local butcher in NW5."

YouTube Vloggers The Narrative Creators' Pop-up Shop at Boxpark in E1

2 vloggers - YouTube video bloggers - are opening a pop-up shop at Boxpark, Bethnal Green Road, for one week from 25th - 31st July 2016.  the two are Steve Booker, Ben Brown, and they'll be inviting friends down to hang out, including Adrian Bliss and Suli Breaks.  They'll also be selling merchandise like prints and accessories, plus holding live events, and of course making and posting films throughout the week.

"Steve Booker and Ben Brown, two of the UK’s most influential creators working across YouTube and beyond, are playing host to an entirely unique 7 day pop up shop - The Narrative Creators.
Ben and Steve, plus select guests, including Adrian Bliss and Suli Breaks, will be bringing their merchandise, photographs, a schedule of live fan events and much more to Boxpark Shoreditch from July 25th - 31st.
It is the first time YouTube creators have developed product to be sold in a store fully designed and created by them in a respected retail environment like Boxpark.
All of the popup merchants are part of The Narrative Digital Studios who are working with the most talented digital creators with craft. Lifestyle and fashion film maker, Steve Booker, will be making a limited line of clothing of his first solo label ‘Our New Chapter’. Inspired by his experiences as a travel vlogger and the YouTube community, the range celebrates how YouTube creators forge their own path, created content for themselves and highlights a generation who do not wait for opportunities to be offered to them, they instead create their own.
Daily vlogger and adventure film maker, Ben Brown, is also launching a new limited range of merchandise designed in collaboration with American designer iamsloth. This range was inspired by his experiences across the world, drawing upon his inspirations, passion and philosophies across clothing and lifestyle. In addition there will be a few twists on old classics celebrating 5 years of travel and a lifetime of learnings. Beyond clothing, Ben and Steve are offering prints of their original photography, posters and original merchandise from some of Ben and Steve’s fellow YouTube creators and a chance to have a sneak peak at a T V project the duo have been working on for 6 months."

Delish Thai's Friday and Sunday Pop-ups in Greenwich

Delish Thai are running two regular pop-ups in Greenwich SE10.  Friday nights are at The Ashburnham Arms in Ashburnham Grove, while Sunday nights are at The Plumtree Cafe in Greenwich High Road.  Expect great home-cooked Thai food from a Thai woman who learnt her craft helping her mum, with fresh authentic ingredients.  Go!

"If you've been craving for Thai food, but are sick of those non-authentic takeaways, this could be the answer to your prayers!
Delish Thai run by a woman from Thailand who learnt how to cook from her mum since she was 8 years old (obviously she started out as just the helper!) Her family owned a restaurant back in Thailand for over 20 years, so her Thai cooking is the real deal ;)
Delish Thai has done a couple of pop-up Thai restaurants in Greenwich and had incredible feedback. Their cooking is more like home-cooked style than restaurant. They use fresh and authentic ingredients."

When - The Ashburnham Arms - Fridays 6-10pm for Summer 2016

Where - The Ashburnham Arms, 25 Ashburnham Grove, London SE10 8UH (Only Summer 2016)
