Marimekko Pop-up Shop at Heals in Tottenham Court Road - NOW FINISHED

As part of London Design Festival, Heals is playing host to a pop-up shop by the Finnish textile and clothing company.

"From 17-25 September we'lll be hosting a pop-up Marimekko shop at our flagship Tottenham Court Road store - part of a wider celebration of Scandinavian design taking place at Heal's during Autumn Winter 2011. The centrepiece will be an exclusive Heal's Mistral sofa upholstered in two iconic Marimekko fabrics. A Mistral armchair and loveseat are also available within this range. 
Other products featured will include Marimekko home accessories for living, dining, bed and bath as well as gift. The pop-up shop will also provide an opportunity to see the striking Marimekko 'Scare Owl' featured in the new Marimekko book Surrur, Make Your Own Marimekko by designer Aino-Maija Metsola. 
To complete the Marimekko birthday celebrations, on Tuesday 20 September we'll be hosting an in-store talk by Wallpaper* Editor-at-Large Henrietta Thompson entitled 'Why Blondes Have More Fun: 60 Years of Scandinavian Design'. So come join us if you'd like to discover exactly why Finns, Swedes, Danes and Norwegians do it so well."
