The Nyetimber Garden Bar in Covent Garden

Another great open air summer pop-up:  English sparkling wine producer Nyetimber is opening a pop-up wine bar in Covent Garden Piazza, to be open from 1st - 28th June 2017 from 1pm - 8pm.  The space has been created by designer Lee Bestall, themed around 500 Years of Covent Garden, and there will also be special events including a brunch from nearby restaurant Balthazar.

Last Days of Shoreditch Summer 2017 Streetfood Market in Old Street

Last Days of Shoreditch, the street food market on the corner of Old Street and Great Eastern Street, returns for the summer of 2017 from Thursday 25th May, to run for the summer, Thurdays to Saturdays.  Expect street food from people like Nanny Bill's, an excape room, Lucky Voice karaoke, plus there are bookable private rooms for parties.  Its free to get in on Thursdays and Fridays, and £10 after 9pm on Saturdays (plus some nights are ticketed events).  This one is going to get very popular!

"Endless events are planned for Last Days of Shoreditch Riviera every Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a massive selection of global talent. Some of the many highlights include Artwork's Art's House pre-party, which will see the party starter take to the decks four times over the summer run of events, Maribou State will host an exclusive pre-party seeing the electronic duo turn up the heat while Stuart Patterson, Phil Mison and The Dr Orders will also be joining the summer pop-up amongst many more. Food for the summer season comes courtesy of Nanny Bills serving up a delectable range of burgers, not to mention their signature croquettes with popular favourites including 'Pea & Feta' and 'Mac & Cheese'. Joining them are Belli Freschi, a brand new venture from the team behind Shoreditch's local hidden pearl Bottega Prelibato. With the restaurant serving up authentic Italian dishes Belli Freschi seeks to take that one step further with a bespoke Avocado bar and freshly baked pasta, with a strong focus on vegan and vegetarian options.
With music, food and drink taken care of, Last Days of Shoreditch Riviera will bring a mini-adventure of hilarious clue-solving in the form of an escape room experience. Handmade Mysteries presents 'Plumbottom's Magnificent Return', a frantic five minute pop-up that challenges teams of 2-3 players to aid the ghost of Plumbottom with a fun, immersive experience that will bamboozle even the most twisted minds. Complete the challenge in the fastest time possible and win a mysterious prize. Some good old fashioned fun comes to East London in the form of a Lucky Voice karaoke experience, select from over 10,000 songs from latest hits to power ballads and sing the night away with laughs from start to finish. Rooms are available for hire with up to 15 people while a VIP Package is also available.
Last Days Of Shoreditch Riviera hold a variety of themed private rooms including the Bowie Bauhaus, Purple Rain and more to host your perfect party or event, available for private hire seven days a week.

Filthy Fanny's Summer Beach Bar at The Crown & Shuttle in Shoreditch

This Summer, Filthy Fanny's the cocktail bar in the Crown and Shuttle pub at 226 Shoreditch High Street, is turning it's back yard into a summer beach bar, with cocktails, gourmet street food, ice cream and more.  It opens with a bang on Weds 24th May, and will then be open daily after that (normal pub hours) for the summer.

"Get ready for a summer of kiss me quick fun as Filthy Fanny Takes it up the Pier.
The Crown and Shuttle’s enormous beer garden has been transformed into Shoreditch-on-Sea as Filthy Fanny embarks on her annual garden takeover with all things seaside.
Expect drinks by the bucket and spade load, including a Margate Rita, Barry Island Iced Tea or maybe a Blackpool Donkey or two to wet your whistle. Fanny’s even added a touch of class with posh gin and tonics and spritzes to compliment her seaside specials. 
With your drink in hand, and the long summer evening stretching ahead of you, food is naturally the next thing on your mind, but don’t worry, that’s covered too. Forget your Byronesque, mother flipping, gourmet street food- up the pier, Fanny has many a summer snack at her alfresco beach cafe for you to feast upon.
Launching on May 24th we will be bringing out the bingo to celebrate and with half price cocktails on offer, seaside ice cream, a cheeky bit of rock and plenty of sunshine (probably). Fanny is getting you fully prepped ahead of the bank holiday shenanigans so seas the day and take yourself from Clapton to Clacton with Filthy Fanny as she takes it up the pier!"

Sandwich Fest - London's Sandwich Festival - in E8

Sandwich Fest is a one day celebration of sandwiches, taking place in Hackney / London Fields on Saturday 20th May, with 8 elite sandwich makers - inc Deeney's, Earl's, Grill My Cheese, and Le Bao - all battling it out to be crowned the best.  There are two sessions, starting at 12 noon and 5pm, and tickets cost just £9 + fees, which gets you your first sandwich plus drink.  There will also be bars - from Five Points - cocktails, Pimms and more.  It's going to be huge!

"Brits love a good sandwich. We consume over 11.5 billion each year and at Sandwich Fest you'll be able to try taster sized sandwiches from some of London’s best sandwich specialists and vote on your favourite.
On Saturday 20th May London's very first Sandwich Fest will launch at SPACE Gallery Courtyard, Hackney.
The inaugural festival is set to offer a variety of exclusive sandwiches from London's renowned street food vendors and restaurants, focused on upping the sandwich game, alongside craft beer, specially created cocktails and live music.
Sandwich aficionados such as Deeney's and Project Sandwich will be joined by cheese enthusiasts, Grill My Cheese while Le Bao (voted best sandwich at The Street Food Awards 2016) and The Piadina Project bring tasters from around the world. Earl's will bring their subs to the event served in their 1979 Chevrolet van and critically acclaimed Bala Baya will serve up Tel-Aviv inspired pitta sandwiches from Ottolenghi protégé, Chef Eran Tibi. In addition, Happy Endings will provide desserts for those with a sweet tooth.
Festival-goers are encouraged to try as many sandwiches as possible with at least three different taster-sized portions sold at each stall, from savoury to sweet offerings, including dishes exclusive to this year's event, unavailable anywhere else.
Vendors will also be put to the ultimate test in a competition for 'Best Sandwich' at Sandwich Fest, putting forward their signature sandwich and voted for by the festival-goers themselves:
Bala Baya’s Sticky date glazed short rib, bonfire potatoes & green horseradish aioli served in pitta Deeney’s The Macbeth – well-renowned offering featuring Haggis, Scottish cheddar, caramelised onions, rocket and mustard on toasted granary.
Earl’s The Kim Wrong Un - Korean style buttermilk fried chicken with Gim, cucumber kimchi, young oriander and Gochujang mayo
Grill My Cheese’s Londonion – their take on a cheese and onion toastie featuring onion jam, pickled onion gel, pickled onion Monster Munch, spring onion, signature cheese blend.
Le Bao’s Pork Belly Bao – Voted Best Sandwich at The Street Food Awards 2016, braised pork belly, sweet powdered peanuts, Mirin cucumbers, Hoisin, coriander, chilli.
Project Sandwich’s El Jefe, Revisited – smoked pork, roasted chilli, salsa mojo, pickles, gruyère, crackling.
The Piadina Project’s The Lincolnshire - Italian flatbread, fresh burrata, butter-flied Lincolnshire sausage, crisped pancetta, rocket & homemade mushroom glaze.
Happy Endings ‘Naughty’ – delicious salted caramel and miso parfait in between fine layers of chocolate Guinness cake."

Jimmy Garcia's BBQ Club on the South Bank for Summer 2017 with Big Green Egg BBQs

The BBQ Club is a 3 month pop-up taking place on The South Bank - between the skate park and the river - over three months in summer 2017.  Jimmy Garcia ran one of the hits of 2017 when he cooked with Big Green Egg BBQs in a Clapham garden last year, and now he's bringing it to a shipping container in a much more central location.  The roof of the shipping container has 5 tables of six, and each table has its own Big Green Egg BBQ.  Staff provide the prepped food, and diners grill it themselves at their table.

Or get a take-away fron one of the hatches below.  Plus there will be a bar, and a balcony ares overlooking the river.  Booking is recommended - and you can even book the whole of the roof area for private dining and parties.

"London’s pop-up king, Jimmy Garcia, is excited to announce his largest and most ambitious residency to date, The BBQ Club at London’s Southbank Centre. Launching on Saturday 20th May 2017, the split-level, riverside Summer eatery promises a walk-up BBQ Bar showcasing gourmet dishes straight from the grill and the more intimate BBQ Club rooftop dining experience, serving an ever-evolving six course tasting menu, set against the stunning backdrop of London’s River Thames.
Staying true to Jimmy’s acclaimed interactive, alfresco cooking style, both the walk-up BBQ Bar and BBQ Club rooftop dining menus will feature innovative and exquisite BBQ dishes, served straight from a Big Green Egg grill. From hand-dived Dorset scallops and locally foraged sorrel to artisan chorizos imported directly from Jimmy’s Dad’s hometown of Asturias, Spain, each dish will tell a tale of provenance and sourcing.
The upstairs BBQ Club tasting menu will invite guests to baste and grill dishes alongside their chef on their very own BBQ built into the centre of the table. Jimmy and his team of chefs will guide guests through a refined and interactive six course tasting menu; including dishes such as The Queenie Flower, a hand-dived Dorset scallop served with coal-baked cauliflower, hazelnut crumb and pickled red onion petals or Baa Baa Broccoli, a succulent lamb cutlet served with salsa verde, charred tenderstem broccoli and Sicilian anchovies.
As the light begins to fade, diners will conclude the tasting menu by toasting marshmallows over table-top embers before adding biscuit, mini-marshmallows and lashings of chocolate. For those who like their toasts a little stronger, guests can help themselves to the rooftop honesty bar, serving refreshing gin concoctions, 10 pint beer kegs for the table, or aptly named bottles of ‘good wine’ and ‘great wine’.
The walk-up BBQ Bar will serve fast, fresh and flavoursome gourmet BBQ dishes such as charred monkfish with tarragon mayonnaise and dill pickled cucumber and the ultimate steak and chips with chimchurri sauce. All priced at £10 or under, the dishes are ideal for a working lunch or an afternoon drinking by the river.
A separate downstairs bar will also be situated at the river’s edge, serving a selection of G&Ts, craft beers and ciders, meaning even if guests are not dining at The BBQ Club they can enjoy the sunset over the London skyline drink in hand. 
The BBQ Club is part of Southbank Centre's summer-long offering of gourmet pop-ups and food markets from the capital's most exciting and celebrated eateries."

The Neverland London Summer 2017 Urban Beach Pop-up near Fulham

Neverland London is a new 'urban beach' pop-up for Summer 2017 comprising an outdoor stretch of Thames beach on the North side of the river, south of Fulham and next to Wandsworth Bridge.  It'll have streetfood from traders like The Duck Truck, Le Rac Shack, and Taco Dave, plus beach huts and more.  It'll be strictly BYOB, but have mixers for you to create your own cocktials.  It'll be open Wednesday to Sunday from 10th May - book your spot now!

"Neverland London, opens as a BYOB alfresco drinking and street food dining experience with its very own white sandy beach, set within palm trees, pastel painted beach huts, swings and summer cocktails. This affordable drinking experience welcomes people to enjoy the Thameside location with deck chairs and grass seating while covered feasting tables, daybeds and beach huts will be on hand to cater for the British summer.
Featuring a 20 metre beach, pop-up shops, street food traders from the likes of Le Rac Shack, The Duck Truck, Taco Dave along with churros and ice creams for those with a sweet tooth. Visitors can create their own cocktails from the Unleaded Bar or have mixologists compose drinks with the ‘Beach Butler’ service creating bespoke summer sunshine tipples.
Welcoming parties and larger groups – beach huts can be booked for up to 8 people or one of the beach daybeds for groups of 12 to 25 seated & standing. Cocktail chests are also available with a selection of unleaded mixers to complement the BYO alcoholic tipples.
