Knife & Pork's Regular 5 Course Feast at St John of Jerusalem in Hackney

Knife and Pork has a regular monthly feast at the St John of Jerusalem church in Hackney, E9, on the last Saturday of every month.  Join them for five courses, a welcome cocktails and good company - plus it's BYOB, or you can buy specially paired wines from Bottle Apostle.

"A feast fit for a priest!
Dine at the beautiful St John of Jerusalem church in trendy East London.
You’ll be welcomed with a glass of Prosecco before being seated at the 60-person single banquet table.
The menu changes monthly but what you can rely on being served at this 5-course banquet is 36-hour slow-cooked Gloucester Old Spot belly of pork, with apple chutney.
It’s BYOB but we’ll also be offering paired wines (for purchase) with each course, provided by wine experts Bottle Apostle.
Cheese will be provided by Ian and Gianalberto of O Tama O Morte (who can count Prince Charles as one of their customers) and who offer ‘great cheese without pretension’."

When - Last Saturday of the month, 7pm - 11pm

Where - St John of Jerusalem, Lauriston Rd, E9 7DH

Tickets - £36.50 from Grub Club here

Vietnamese Pop-up Supper Club in Broadway Market

Fin & Flounder, the fishmonger in Broadway Market, will be holding a Vietnamese supper club next week, in the local pie & mash shop.  They hold a supper club once a month; I'm going to try to cover supper clubs more on this site.  (If you have any recommendations please email me - address above - or contact me through Twitter - @londonpopups)

"In between our own fabulous master chef Adam Newman the Fin and Flounder like to bring in a guest chef mid-month to keep us on our toes. We are very lucky to have a real institution of Broadway market Bánh mì 11, they will be cooking up some great Vietnamese cuisine on 18th Aug 2011 at our resident eel and pie spot.
These girls make the most amazing Franco-Vietnamese sandwich, they have pioneered the hot made-to-order Vietnamese baguettes.  They have an amazing following and have featured many times in Time Out, considered by many to be amongst the best street food sellers in London."

When - 18th August

Where - F Cooke, 9 Broadway Market, London E8 4PH
Note - pre-booking only - don't go it you don't have a ticket!
