Firebox is holding a 6 course #Giftgasm Christmas supper club in Hoxton on Monday 2nd, Tuesday 3rd, and Wednesday 4th December 2019.  Your £30 ticket gets you an amazing 6 course dinner - including Turkey Trifle, with CBD roasties and Pigs in Bao Blankets - and others incorporating Firebox's unique products including  Unicorn Tears Gin, and Legally Addictive Crack Cookies.  There will also be party games for the table making sure that you have a great and memorable night.

The Gun's Winter Wonderland in Spitalfields - with a Lifesized Gingerbread Chalet

This winter The Gun pub in Brushfield Street, next to Spitalfields Market, has built a giant gingerbread house, with edible bricks, within the bar, to serve as a dining room, plus lots of other festive touches, including a winter forest, and an edible advent calendar.  They have also re-worked the menu to include warming classics like deep fried brie, and brought in some special cocktails, though a collaboration with vermouth experts Belsazar.  Yum!

"This November, Spitalfields pub The Gun will be transformed into a winter wonderland including a lifesize Gingerbread Chalet installation and new seasonal food and drink menus designed especially with the festive period in mind.
From 12th November, the bar at The Gun will be transformed into a winter forest, decked out in an abundant display of snow-dusted trees and rich foliage, paving the way to the pub’s very own Gingerbread Chalet dining room. Brought to life by edible bricks and an edible advent calendar from 1st December, and adorned with twinkling fairy lights, glowing lanterns and warming throws, the Gingerbread Chalet at The Gun takes inspiration from the Black Forest and the Gingerbread Houses of the 16th Century, and will be the perfect cosy bolt hole for the winter months.
The unveiling of the Chalet will coincide with the launch of a deliciously festive cocktail menu, created in collaboration with vermouth experts Belsazar. The new selection of tipples will include the smoky ‘Two Smoking Barrels’ of Absolut Vodka, Lot 40 rye whisky, Belsazar Red vermouth, honey-infused orange peel and cinnamon, smoked with pine, and the fiery ‘Spiced Route Revolver’ which combines Havana Especial, rum, spiced syrup, star anise and cinnamon. The Gun will also offer warming mulled wine throughout the season for a taste of Christmas come early.
As for the food, The Gun will welcome a new menu of comforting classics by executive chef Ashley Door, including the restorative Braised beef short rib with creamy mashed potato, braised red cabbage, chestnut crumb and jus or the melting Deep-fried brie with cranberry dip and watercress garnish. For dessert, in-keeping with the woodland theme, guests can enjoy the indulgent Black Forest gateau with brandy cream and cherry sorbet."

Tits London's Christmas Pop-up Shop with Women Designers

Tits London is opening a pop-up shop at 188 Shoreditch High Street from 16th - 30th November 2019, to showcase and sell work from their favourite women designers.  As with Tits' other events, 10% of the profits will go to CoppaFeel, so you will be helping a great cause as well as buying some excellent designs and gifts.

The Merchant's Tail - a Pop-up for Dog & Cat lovers from Fetch & Follow and Cheshire & Wain

The Merchant's Tail is a collaborative pop-ups shop from two online brands, Cheshire & Wain, who specialise in gifts for cats, and Fetch & Follow, who do the same for dogs.  It's now open Wednesdays to Sundays until 27th November at 270 Hackney Road, E2, and it's a treasure trove of items like collars, treats, toys, and even coats.  They will also be holding regular events through the run of the pop-up, including having a pet photographer in.  I visited yesterday, and ended up buying Christmas presents for Tiger, Lola and Pip.  A brilliant shop.

The Miracle Bar Christmas Pop-up 2019 at The Henrietta Hotel in Covent Garden

This Christmas a 'Miracle' bar is coming back to The Henrietta Hotel in London, having become a regular pop-up in New York as 'The Miracle on 9th Street', and expanded into other cities around the US and elsewhere.  The Bar, with nostalgic Christmas trimmings, will be popping up from 12th November to 23rd December 2019. Visitors can sample special cocktails like a Snowball Old Fashioned (Butterscotch Rye, Spiced Demerara, Wormwood Bitters, Orange Zest), served in festive, Instagram-friendly glasswear, eat Alpine style food and more, all within a very photogenic setting.

"Experimental Group, the innovative hospitality entrepreneurs, will bring the festively famous Miracle pop-up bar phenomenon from the U.S. to London for the second time, at Henrietta Hotel – the firstand only UK Miracle partner. The Christmas-themed pop-up bar, renowned across America for its creative cocktails garnished with a side of kitsch, will launch on the hotel’s mezzanine from November 12th. 
Located next to the Covent Garden piazza, in amongst the shops and boutiques, Miracle at Henrietta will provide the perfect pitstop for a cocktail, and a chance to escape the inevitable Christmas craziness that consumes the capital. Hidden away on the mezzanine, guests are transported back in time to Christmas past, with a nostalgic take on festive décor, designed by experiential company Cheeky Tiki. Perfectly paired with Miracle’s cocktail styling, the space is inspired by a ‘70’s Christmas home’ with retro decorations and coloured lights, as well as an oversized fireplace.
Miracle will offer their renowned roster of Christmas concoctions, designed by original Experimental Cocktail Club alumni Nico de Soto, who returns to the Experimental family with favourites such as the Snowball Old Fashioned (Butterscotch Rye, Spiced Demerara, Wormwood Bitters, Orange Zest), Christmapolitan (Vodka, Elderflower, Dry Vermouth, Spiced Cranberry Sauce, Rosemary, Lime, Absinthe Mist) and newcomer And A Partridge In A Pear Tree (Reposado Tequila, Pear Brandy, Mezcal, Spiced Demerara Syrup, Lime, Egg White, Club Soda, Angostura Bitters, Cinnamon), all served in famously fun and festive glassware."

John Lewis's Winter 2019 Rooftop Pop-up - The Winter Carnival with food by Jimmy's Pop-up

John Lewis' Roof Garden above its Oxford Street store has re-opened for the winter, now open daily until 5th January 2020.  This time the theme is The Winter Carnival, with US comfort food from pop-up legend Jimmy Garcia (@jimmyspopup), drinks from Background Bars, high tech curling with Google, and lots of private areas, huts and chalets to book. 

It's open daily.  Go up to the 5th Floor, and follow signs from there.  It should be wonderful on a crisp, sunny winter lunchtime, and also on a cosy winter night.

The Dram & Smoke Christmas 2018 Bothy Nights near London Bridge

Dram and Smoke are back for their traditional Scottish Christmas pop-up nights near London Bridge, from 11th - 21st December 2018.  Tickets cost £65 for a night of feasting and revelry, including a weclome drink, 4 course dinner, live music, Christmas games and lots more.  These are always excellent occasions, and several dates are sold out already - don't leave it too late to book!

"Seek shelter from the depths of winter within the indulgent sanctuary of Dram & Smoke Bothy Nights. Flickering lanterns, the aroma of pine and smoke, warming tartan blankets and a feast inspired by the spirit of Christmas and the best of Scottish produce await culinary nomads, wanderers and festive spirits alike. 
An enchanted beacon of warmth nestled at the end of a cobbled street near London Bridge, a warming hot toddy cocktail welcomes guests on their yuletide adventure. Whilst you won’t find nativity scenes and tinsel, the theatre of an open-kitchen, Christmas games, Karaoke, DIY DJ station and a profoundly supportive in-house policy on sing-a-longs mean that festive cheer is firmly on the menu.

The Baileys Treat Bar Christmas Pop-up 2018 off Seven Dials

Good news for Baileys lovers!  After a short pop-up last year the Baileys Treat Bar is back for two weeks at 9-11 Shorts Gardens, just off Seven Dials, Covent Garden.  Yummy hot drinks, great cocktails, and lots of Instagram and tastebud friendly items like gingerbreat men and edible glitter to add.  It's open from noon til 10pm from Friday 7th to Saturday 22nd December 2018 (closed Mondays) - be there!

On the 7th December, Baileys is returning to Central London with the highly anticipated Treat Bar. The most indulgent pop-up is back, offering a fully customisable menu with sumptuous hot drinks, extravagant cocktails including delicious vegan options to ensure that no one misses out. Let your imagination run wild and design-your-own off-menu drink with a little help from the Baileys bar experts (if you need it!). Treat your taste buds by adding fun and playful toppings including gingerbread men, edible glitter and honeycomb to create something completely bespoke, just for you.
Inside you will find a luxurious Alpine themed snug area to relax with everything you need for your Instagram dream - neon signs, candy wallpaper, message walls and even an infinity mirror. There are even whispers that the chocolate reindeers are back for another year - it’s the perfect way to #TreatUp your Christmas.
The Baileys Treat Bar is the ideal rest-bite for those needing a well-deserved treat after a hard days Christmas shopping, whilst soaking up the festive spirit.
The bar will be serving all the favourite hot drinks with Baileys Original Irish Cream, Baileys Chocolat Luxe and Baileys Almande plus salted caramel Baileys espresso martinis. There will also be exclusive specials from the likes of Made in Chelsea and The Treat Collective’s Oonagh Simm’s who’s limited edition Baileys marshmallows will be served over the classic on ice.

The Skandilicious Swedish Christmas Pop-up on the Fulham Road SW10

Skandilicious, the Swedish Christmas pop-up is coming back to London for 2018, in Fulham Road, SW10, serving daily from 21st November to 19th December.  Dinner is just £45, for a menu that includes over 35 dishes (!) including gravad lax, charcuterie, a mustard-crumbed Christmas ham, plus cheeses and traditionl desserts.  Sittings are at 6pm and 9pm, and there is a also a bar with cocktails from an award-winning mixologist.  Go!

Amazon's 'Home of Black Friday' 2018 Christmas Pop-up in Shoreditch

Amazon is opening a 4 day pop-up shop in Shoreditch, called Amazon's Home of Black Friday, from Thursday 22nd - Sunday 25th November 2018.  It's at 3-10 Shoreditch High Street, and will include lots to see and do, including classes and VIP experiences.  Brands featured include LEGO, Xbox, Samsung, Le Creuset, and there will also be a Whole Foods market, and a pop-up bar.  As with other Amazon pop-ups, I don't think there will be any stock that you can take home on the day, but instead 'Smile Codes' to scan on your phone so that you can add items to your Amazon basket to be delivered to you,  This one is going to be busy!!

The Winter Retreat Christmas Pop-up Bar at Regent's Place near Euston

The Winter Retreat is a pop-up tipi tent at Regent's Place Plaza in NW1, just across the Euston Road from Warren Street station.  Looking a lot like last year's Thor's Tipi, it will also offer seasonal hot food and drink (catered by the nearby The Refinery), plus board games, live music on Thursdays and Fridays, and more.  It's open Mondays to Saturdays from noon til 11pm.

The Pants to Poverty Pop-up Shop in Chelsea

Pants to Poverty sell pants for both men and women, and have opened their first ever shop as a pop-up near Sloane Square.  It's all for a good cause, and it's open until early January.

"At Pants to Poverty, we produce amazing pants at affordable prices with great, truthful, super cool branding with integrity…but more than that, we are a truly democratic brand, dedicated to maximising the social, environmental and financial profit for all of our stakeholders from cotton to bottom. This includes everyone from our farmers and factory workers in India to our pant wearers across the globe. With that, we will once and for all prove that fashion can change the world and that social business is better business."

The Elk Bar's Winter Wonderland in Fulham

This winter The Elk Bar near Fulham Broadway is hosting a special Winter Wonderland.  The Elk also hosted The Big Smoke Barbecue last summer.

"With winter drawing nearer, popular summer pop-up, The Big Smoke BBQ at the Elk has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland complete with its very own smoke pit, ready to bring some festive fun to London. The attractive garden has changed into a stunning winter retreat serving a yuletide themed feast ensuring you’ll leave with a full belly, to rival that of Saint Nick’s. 
The Elk’s outside area will feature silver Christmas trees, snow icicles as well as illuminated reindeers to help guide Santa on his nightly escapades. Guests will be seated under hundreds of twinkling fairy lights ready to enjoy their festive feast. 
The Big Smoke has had a Christmas makeover and will now be serving its delicious winter themed menu straight from the smoke pit. Sample such seasonal delights as The Christmas Gobble, a 7oz Turkey & Pancetta Pattie, Smoked Sausage, Sage & Onion Relish and Cranberry Mayonnaise served on Toasted Brioche. Or enjoy The Deer Porker instead, a 7oz Venison Pattie, Pulled Pork with Fig & Date Chutney, Stilton Rarebit deliciously served on Toasted Brioche. 
With Jack Frost set to pay us all a visit soon, The Elk Winter Wonderland has created a number of delicious drinks to keep you warm on the cold winter nights. Sip on a mug of Butterscotch Schnapps Hot Chocolate or why not try the Candy Cane, of strawberry vodka, Crème de Menthe and cranberry juice, garnished with what else, but a candy cane of course! Alternatively for a twist on a classic, sample the delicious Mulled Wine served with a shot of Drambuie to make it extra Christmassy. 
So head on down to The Elk Winter Wonderland for some festive grub that Santa Claus himself will be craving!"

Pop-up Screens Presents Cinema in the Snow in Spitalfields

Pop-up Screens are bringing a very special set of screenings to the Dray Walk Gallery at the Old Truman Brewery - Cinema in the Snow, complete with a snow filled grotto, a 'wardrobe' door, and lots of snow, plus suitably seasonal refreshments.

"Stuck for Christmas party ideas? Looking for something different to entertain the kids during the Christmas holidays? Or just simply love festive films? Pop Up Screens could have the answer as it transforms into The Cinema In The Snow.
Back after a sold out Summer the outdoor film specialist will be moving into the warm for one week as it transforms The Dray Walk Gallery at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane into a snow filled grotto, complete with a door posing as a wardrobe, Christmas trees, mulled wine, beer, pimped Moretto hot chocolate and of course lots of real (fake) snow.
Kicking off on Tuesday 18th December until 23rd September the schedule will include 
The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Muppets Christmas Carol, Elf and Gremlins. There will be up to 3 screenings per day – 1pm, 5pm and 7.45pm - making it perfect for not only meeting up with friends but as an activity for a kids day out or office Christmas party.
Doors will open 1 hour before the screening making sure people get the chance to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the festive treats on offer. 
Founder of Pop Up Screens, David Leydon said; “Christmas is awesome.  It’s a fact and I desperately wanted Pop Up Screens to be involved in something Christmassy in London, so we got our thinking caps on and came up with what we thought was a good idea.  We tested the water a little bit and it turns out that what we thought was a good idea, lots of other people also thought it was a good idea.  So we set about turning this idea into reality and a snow machine and a wardrobe later and we’re well on our way.  It’s genuinely exciting to think we’re going to turn a concrete cube into a snow filled cinema, which you can only get into if you walk through a magical wardrobe.  I honestly can’t wait until we open our doors and start our Christmas stint as The Cinema in the Snow.”"

Christmas Party with Live Music at The Lamb Tavern in Leadenhall Market

Tonight (13th December) The Lamb Tavern in Leadenhall Market are holding a special Christmas Party with live music, warm cider from Rekorderlig, and draft ales from Meantime & Youngs.

"One of the biggest and busiest days on The Lamb's Calendar, the Christmas party. We will have a great band 'PARTYDOWN' playing all the festive classics in the iconic market. A Rekorderlig Winter warm cider to help get over the winter snap, and also outside bars serving all of the Youngs classics. This will be a great event so make sure you don't miss it."

Eric Lanlard's Cake Boy Pop-up Boutique & Tea Room in Knightsbridge

Eric Lanlard, the master patissier behind Cake Boy in South West London, is openign a pop-up boutique selling his cakes, and also hosting a special tea room, both at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel in Knightsbridge.

"Master patissier, Eric Lanlard will be bringing a slice of his Cake Boy boutique to GILT Cocktail Lounge at Jumeirah Carlton Tower from Friday 14 to Saturday 15 December 2012. Eric is the star of Channel 4's Baking Mad series and has baked wedding cakes for the likes of Madonna, Elizabeth Hurley and Claudia Schiffer and birthday cakes for PM David Cameron and Elton John.
The pop-up shop, open from 11am-4pm, will sell a range of treats including Christmas cupcakes, boxes of mini mince pies and Eric’s sumptuous twist on the traditional Christmas cake. The celebrated pastry chef will be personally manning his Cake Boy pop-up on both days and will be on hand to sign copies of his best-selling Home Bake and Tart It Up books.
Visitors will also be able to book themselves a table at Jumeirah Carlton Tower’s Chinoiserie tea room to try Eric Lanlard’s “I Love Paris” afternoon tea menu, designed exclusively for hotel guests and visitors to enjoy."

The Rebel Bakery's Christmas Pop-up Shop in Willesden Green

The Rebel Bakery, which makes gluten-free cakes, is popping up in Queens Parade, the pop-up shopping arcade in Willesden Green that opened in the summer.  It's opening before and after Christmas, for three weeks in total.  The cakes look great - well worth a trip!

"The Rebel Bakery is the cake shaped  creation of John Whiter & Lucy Britton.
