On Monday 3rd September the pop-up area of The Jones Family Project in Great Eastern Street is turning into a retro travel agency bar area, with a whole menu of whisky/whiskey flights arranged around different destinations. Pick whiskeys from India, Japan, the US, Ireland, Scotland and more, with a 'boarding pass' to guide you through your points of interest, and it costs £14-£20 for 4 samples. Touching down at some of the most coveted whisk(e)y destinations around the world. From Kentucky to Melbourne; Yamazaki to County Cork; the Scottish Highlands to Karnataka #JonesFamilyAirways will take you on a flight of fancy to wherever you desire.
Check-in to our downstairs pop-up space and choose from flights that explore some fabulous whiskies from America, Scotland & Ireland, Japan, and Asia & Oceania. Flights cost from £14-£20 for four destinations and the associated boarding pass for each will guide you through the journey, helping you navigate your taste buds to understand the complexities and varieties of the selected classic, innovative and lesser-known whiskies from around the globe.
Holiday package highlights include: Amrut Fusion, one of South India’s most popular whiskies with delicious notes of fresh fruit, vanilla and a smoky finish; Mitcher’s small-batch Bourbon, named after the oldest distillery in the USA, with sweet, fruity and spicy notes, packing in plenty of flavour; Japan’s Hibiki Harmony which uses a blend of Japanese malt and grain whiskies from Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita that has a moreish and enticing notes of orange peel and white chocolate; while the Irish and Scottish tour includes Hedonism, a malt-free blended grain Scotch whisky from the relentlessly creative innovators at Compass Box alongside 12 year aged Redbreast and Chivas Regal and the smokey sweetness of Ailsa Bay.
