Hot 4U - the partnership of chefs Matthew Scott, head chef of Cub, and Eddy Tejada, previously at St John and Silo, is moving from The Plough in Homerton to another pub from the same stable, the Prince Arthur in Forest Road, Dalston, from Monday 12th April, where they will be serving food in the terrace at the front of the pub. (They will also be staying at The Plough, currently offering takeaways, but opening for diners from 17th May onwards).

"Eddy Tejada (ex-St John and Silo) and Matthew Scott (ex-Head Chef of Cub) are Hot 4 U, one of the breakout success stories of last year. Having burst onto London’s rapidly evolving delivery scene in the throes of the first lockdown, with a weekly-changing menu of inspired originals, the duo is now excited to announce the launch of a new permanent residency, at The Prince Arthur in Hackney. This residency will be in addition to The Plough in Homerton, which they launched just before Christmas.
Taking over The Prince Arthur’s kitchen initially for outdoor dining only from Monday 12th April, Hot 4 U will be cooking an ever-changing menu seven days a week. Located on Forest Road, close to London Fields, The Prince Arthur has 24 covers on outdoor benches that wrap around the grand old corner pub.
Drawing on their huge experience working in London’s most sustainable restaurants, Hot 4 U is a reflection of Matthew and Eddy’s passion for zero waste and high-grade produce, combined with a casual, accessible and, above all, fun approach. From the get-go, Hot 4 U at The Prince Arthur will be a showcase for their distinctive, irreverent style that’s shot from the hip. Dishes on the menu for week one include:
Oysters with hot sauce and fermented potato
Psychedelic burrata with cedrat lemon
Fried prawn heads, yuzu, allium
Fried dough, smoked ricotta, gooseberry escabeche
Pig’s head, anchovy, dandelion
Over at The Plough, Hot 4 U will be serving buns and pints for takeaway only from April 12th. Both are important steps in the right direction towards May 17th when both venues will be fully open for the full Hot 4 U experience. Going forward, The Prince Arthur will be the place to find Hot 4 U’s more refined dishes, befitting of the quiet residential location near London Fields, whereas The Plough will remain the place to let loose – think the famous Hot 4 U bone marrow whisky luge, plus BBQs, basement karaoke parties and even more game-changing cooking."
