Lightnin' Hot Things serve Thursdays to Sundays from a kitchen at the corner of the Orbit Brewery taproom, located in a railway arch off the Walworth Road, SE17. I had heard about them a while ago, and finally had a chance to visit a couple of weeks ago.
Lunchtime was nice and relaxed - I generally try to visit for lunch, especially in the winter, because it allows me to take photos in the daylight. The food is excellent; great meats slow cooked, or cooked on a grill, fresh fish, and veggie options like roast pumpkin. Sundays are for roasts, and according to their Instagram they often sell out, so make sure you book.
Brewery taprooms often focus on burgers and street food (nothing wrong with that), and so it is great to find such great 'knife and fork' cooking here. Highly recommended!
