Donatina's Neapolitan Supper Club in Westbourne Park

Join Donatina's Neapolitan Kitchen for a supper club on the final Saturday of September, to say goodbye to summer, and also to learn to play their very intriguing sounding card game Scopa.

"Here at Donatina's Kitchen we've begrudgingly accepted the end of summer this week, and in protest are planning a spirit-restoring evening filled with food, drink and one or two special Neapolitan treats sure to warm the cockles.
THE MENU
This is a set menu exploring traditional Neapolitan recipes - often from Donatina’s own recipe book.  Our dishes are seasonal and inspired by great ingredients sourced from our local suppliers in London and also imported from Italy.  Expect meat, seasonal vegetables, delicious sides, an authentic Neapolitan dessert, a cocktail on arrival, and finishing up with good strong Italian espresso.  We can cater for most dietary requirements, just let us know in advance.
Generous sharing dishes served family style around a big table.
Aperitivo
2 generous courses of traditional family feasting & seasonal side dishess
Seasonal Neapolitan dessert
Coffee
SCOPA!
For those of you brave enough we’ll also be giving a masterclass in the traditional Neapolitan café card game SCOPA! (literally meaning SWEEP! which is shouted when a hand is won and the deck is swept off the table - with gusto!)
Be warned, we've seen it get pretty heated, so you might want to have a quick practice beforehand!"

Where - MAIDA HILL PLACE, 2-4 Fernhead RD, W9 3ET

Luxury Shoe Label Dorraj's Pop-up Shop in Mayfair

Recent graduate  Jarrod Grossberg opens his pop-up shop in Mayfair for four days in late September to promote his new footwear brand Dorraj.

"In celebration of its launch, new luxury shoe label Dorraj is popping up at 99 Mount Street in London between the 25th September and 28th September 2013.
Launching for Autumn / Winter 2013, Dorraj is the new prestige shoe specialising in simple, decidedly comfortable styles in exotic skins.
Founded by 25-year-old Jarrod Grossberg, a graduate of the London College of Fashion, Dorraj re-interprets the sophistication and old-world glamour of the pre-war French Riviera into strictly limited runs of hand-made styles easily dressed up or down.
The first collection comprises two styles for men and women: a low-heeled, leather-soled smoking slipper in ostrich with metal mesh tassel - set to be a staple style for Dorraj every season - and a high-top sneaker in suede and ostrich on a slim-line black rubber sole.
“I wanted there to be something for everyone, and if I had to boil all shoe models down to two quintessential styles, it would be these two” says Grossberg. “Both can be smart or casual, both are distinctive but also timeless wear-anywhere styles. These aren’t fashion shoes. You should be able to wear them for many years.”"

When - Wednesday 25th to Saturday 28th September 2013
11am-6pm Wednesday to Friday / 11am – 3pm Saturday

Where - 99 Mount Street, London W1K 2TF
