Upstairs Downstairs Dining Experience at The Dispensary in The City

Upstairs Downstairs is two regular events at The Dispensary Pub & Private Dining Room near Aldgate.  Held on the same night, upstairs starts with a champagne reception, while downstairs is more down to earth.  I went a couple of months ago, and I really recommend it.  Upstairs you get a full 5 course feast served by a butler who worked at Buckingham Palace for ten years.  For March the Upstairs diners are getting roast leg of lamb, and Soufflé Rothschild!

"The Dispensary invites you to enjoy our monthly pop up Upstairs Downstairs @ The Dispensary.  David Cambridge, who was formerly a personal chef to Sir Evelyn de Rothschild and has cooked for some of the world’s most discerning people. His colleague Philip Joss was a senior footman at Buckingham.  For those who are dining Upstairs in the grand private dining Palace before joining David as Butler to the Rothschild family room, your evening will start with a champagne reception, our Butler will then invite you and your guests to take your seats for a five-course dinner using the best seasonal produce paired to fine wines. Our sole purpose is to make sure that your evening is perfect. In keeping with the theme, those dining Downstairs in the cosy bar will enjoy a pint of our House ale and a hearty wholesome homemade pie, served by our downstairs maids.
