'Nirvana Live at Reading' Screening at The O2 Academy in Islington

Experience Cinema, who host rooftop cinemas including a screening of Queen at Wembley this summer, are hosting a special night on Thurs 19th September at the O2 Academy in Islington (no seating - standing only), to mark the 20th anniversary of In Utero, Nirvana's last studio album.  Nirvana Live at Reading is generally reckoned to be one of the greatest gigs ever, and one of the best live concert films.

"Ever wondered what it would be like to see some of the greatest live performances ever on the cinema screen? Well, look no further as London's No.1 pop up cinema Rooftop Film Club brings you the all standing, gig-tastic, lighter waving Cine Gigs; a brand new film and music experience like no other.

The Cine Gig Tour continues at the famous O2 Academy Islington with a very special concert style screening from the legendary grunge gods of the 90s...'Nirvana, Live at Reading 92'.
This September heralds 20 years since Nirvana gave us their third and final studio album In Utero and what better way to celebrate this milestone than with a one off screening, on the 19th September 2013, of their explosive Reading Festival performance, one that tragically was their last on British soil.
Cine-Gigs series (Cinema and Gigs, of course!) bring legendary gigs back to the cinema screen and transports you and hundreds of music revellers back to a golden age of rock. The giant screen, stadium filling sound system and rock star light show make you feel like you were actually there. Fancy dress is always encouraged so strap on those air guitars, don those wigs and shades and get ready to rock out!"
