Street Feast & Tweat Up's Hawker House near Cambridge Heath

Street Feast was one of the highlights of the summer, and now the format is returning (with tweaks) for the winter, with Hawker House.  It's based on the indoor Hawker Markets that you get in Singapore, with food from favourite like Breddo's Tacos, BOB's Lobster, and SmokeStak, plus warm drinks, a full bar, DJs and more.  I think this is going to be very popular!

"Street Feast is continuing its reign over street food culture, with the return of Hawker House, the warm indoor night market for lovers of great food, booze and music. Extending it’s original run for another ten weeks, the indoor eating emporium will be opening it’s doors every Friday and Saturday until March 22nd, starting at 5pm, with DJs playing your kind of soundtrack until midnight.
Inspired by the hawker centres of Singapore (street food markets offering a variety of delicious food in urban areas), Hawker House takes the spirit of Merchant Yard and Dalston Yard inside, making its home in an old factory sandwiched between Broadway Market and Hackney Road.
At the heart of Hawker House lies the Hot Bar, featuring unique takes on seasonal favourites like Hot Buttered Rum, Hot Wine, and the Hawker Hot Chocolate laced with cognac and green chartreuse. There’ll also be over 50 different bottles to choose from at the Whisky Bar and restaurant quality wines at street level prices from Street Vin.
During it’s new ten week run, Hawker House will be welcoming some brand new traders, as well as bringing back some Street Feast favourites. New traders include Fundi Pizza who will be serving up a range of crispy wood fired pizzas, The Grilling Greek offering classic Greek dishes such as halloumi souvlaki with hand cut triple cooked chips and Mike & Ollie Flatbreads who will be dishing up handmade organic flatbreads with fillings such as Cornish mackerel and deep fried aubergine. Returning Street Feast veterans include Breddos Tacos, with a tasty menu of chipotle beef short rib and crunchy nut fried chicken tacos, Vinn Goute, offering octopus curry with thinly sliced plantain chips and Yum Bun, who’s slowly roasted belly pork in steamed Chinese buns have become something of a Street Feast legend. There’ll also be a guest trader each week, with Dosa Deli serving up delicious street food inspired by Asian flavours this weekend, January 24th/25th.
Wine lovers will welcome the return of Street Vin with a full restaurant-ready list of house favourites plus a Magnum of The Week, some bargain bin ends and lots more Lambrusco. The main Rotary Bar will serve some of London’s best craft beers and expect to enjoy a new list of short, long and strong cocktails that will warm you from the inside out.
