Penguin Books' One Week Pop-up Shop at Boxpark


To help celebrate their 80th birthday Penguin books is opening a pop-up shop at Boxpark.  Running from Tuesday 8th to Sunday 13th September, it'l feature lots of Penguin Modern Classics, Little Black Classics, and Penguin by Hand editions, plus merchandise, and lots of in-store events.  It's in Unit 26, on the ground floor, facing out onto Bethnal Green Road.

"The Penguin Shop (Unit 26 BOXPARK), in partnership with Waterstones, will be a treasure trove of beautiful books celebrating Penguin’s rich history of innovation in design and the fantastic stories now published across Penguin Random House UK. Its range will include Penguin Modern Classics, Little Black Classics and Penguin by Hand, and merchandise based on original Penguin books including Jane Austen mugs, Sherlock Holmes notebooks and Virginia Woolf tote bags. All purchases can be gift-wrapped free of charge with ribbon and wrapping paper featuring classic Penguin book jackets.
The Penguin Shop will be a hub for unique experiences and events throughout the week. Between 12 and 1pm each day, visitors can marvel at the evolution of a specially commissioned graphic mural, hand-drawn live in-store by illustrator Toby Triumph. Every visitor will have the opportunity to become part of Penguin’s history by signing the Penguin Shop Guest Book, which will be stored in the Penguin Archive alongside historic treasures such as the original files from the Lady Chatterley trial. They’ll also receive a limited edition free gift and be able to snap a Penguin Polaroid selfie for a chance to win a bundle of Penguin goodies."
