Agriturismo is a regular Thursday and Friday night dinner at the Frizzante Restaurant at Hackney City Farm in E2, running to the end of August 2016. It's Italian cuisine, using 'Slow Food' principles, using local, ethically sourced food, with seasonal produce. Booking is recommended, and once you're there you order for the a la carte menu; mains are typically £13-15.
"Introducing a new summer pop up every Thursday and Friday evening at Frizzante Café on Hackney City Farm which started at the beginning of May and will continue until November – Agriturismo.
Agriturismo is a supper evening, which provides Rustic Italian food & live acoustic music in the intimate and unique venue of the farm. Local, ethically sourced food is a key concept of the pop up. The thoughtfully composed, weekly changing menu offers, antipasto, primo & secondi dishes as well as beautiful homemade desserts. As a member of the Slow Food Alliance – Frizzante make every effort to ensure the ingredients used in their dishes are locally and ethically sourced wherever possible. Each week’s menu includes a catch of the day from Soleshare – a fishery that ensures their seafood is caught in an economically and environmentally sustainable way. The salads and vegetables used at Frizzante are from Growing Community, a London based community led organization that helps growers to make a living from their produce. Buying fresh and local means that our menu is full of seasonal vegetables and seafood. On Friday Frizzante also hold a BBQ, along side Aperitivo cocktails and canapé snacks on their candle lit terrace, a main with side from around £13.50. This pop up is only around for the summer so make sure you book a table before November when Agriturismo nights will finish."
