The Pig Club's Creole Super Pop-up Restaurant in Hackney Wick

The Pig Club, who held a fantastic feast at The Dead Dolls club earlier this year, return with a very ambitious night of food, music, comedy and art, in a converted public baths in Hackney Wick on 18th April.  I sounds like it;s going to be huge!

"The Pig Club goes undersea to find inspiration for Creole Super, a New Orleans themed pop up restaurant taking place on the 18th April at Cre8 Lifestyle Centre in Hackney Wick, a building with a watery history. It used to be the Eastway Public Baths and soon will be accommodating 100 guests for a celebration of food and art.
Three courses menu, stand up comedy, DJ on the deck with a fine Southern American vinyl selection, an indie-gospel band, a comedy cabaret due and an exhibition of illustrations by two artists inspired on Louisiana's most exciting city.
From the hands of responsible fishers and fish farmers, the Pig Club created a fishist regime menu. It will be serving locally sourced crayfish - supplied by Bob Ring who took on the mission to eradicate American Signal Crayfish from British waters with the project Crayaway-, and Monkfish by Kernowsashimi - a Cornish inshore family of fishers. Organic vegetables will also be part of the show.
The Pig Club is making the most of the New Orleans melting pot cuisine bringing to the plate Italian, French, West Indies influences using fresh British ingredients from suppliers who care about sustainability. Guests can expect many layers of flavours inspired on contemporary creole cuisine.
The ticket is £40 for an evening that starts at 7pm and goes till 12am with great food and entertainment.
