JUMA Kitchen's Iraqi Residency at The Cuckoo in N1

JUMA Kitchen, a supperclub which serves Iraqi dishes, will be in residency at The Cuckoo in Hemmingford Road, N1 from 8th September to 1st October 2016, open Thursday to Saturday, with two Iraqi Sunday brunches on 11th and 18th.  I've not yet tasted their food - but I plan to on the soft launch night on Thursday 1st - look out for pics!

"Following the sell-out success of the previous Iraqi-themed supper clubs, JUMA Kitchen will be taking on a residency at The Cuckoo N1 throughout September, Thursday – Saturday (5pm – 10pm).
If you've been lucky enough to get a seat at previous pop-ups, you know that the food is plentiful, the atmosphere is amazing and the flavours are incredible.  A full, a la carte, Iraqi menu will be available with many dishes yet to be revealed until now.
Taking place at The Cuckoo N1, a 40 cover ‘Gastro Hub” in the heart of Islington.  This friendly, cosy, local pub boasts large, communal tables with a selection of real cask ales.
As an English-Irish-Iraqi, Philip is determined to put Iraqi cuisine on the map in London, and as demonstrated by previous JUMA Kitchen sell-outs; his fortnightly column in The London Evening Standard; and recent food demonstrations at London Borough Market, the popularity of Iraqi food is showing no signs of slowing.  The residency comes at a time when the current affairs surrounding Iraq are heavily featured in the news, and through food JUMA aims to bridge this cultural divide and connect people with a country that is rich in culture and heritage."
