Mason & Painter's Pop-up Shop at the Southbank Centre Festival Terrace Shop in SE1

March 2015 sees Mason & Painter opening a pop-up version of the Columbia Road shop on the South Bank as they take over the Southbank Centre's Festival Terrace Shop for a month of fittings, furniture and fabrics from the 1950s and beyond, fitting in alongside the main ranges in the shop.  They did this in 2014 as well, and this should be just as successful.

"Following last year’s successful nautical takeover Southbank Centre, design duo Mason & Painter have returned to the Festival Terrace Shop for the month of March.
For this exciting second run they have worked within the concept of Flora & Fauna - inspired by the setting of their retail emporium on Columbia Road, home to the famous East End flower market.
Styled with the same vision and maverick mix as their second, larger shop, Mason & Painter bring together a handpicked collection of vintage finds and contemporary products all specially curated to fit the floral theme. Homewares from some of the UK’s most innovative designers feature alongside an exciting collective of the old, the new and the reclaimed.
New product launches include ‘London in Bloom’ tea towels designed exclusively for the takeover together with the release of the Seedpod design tote bag in a new colourway.
Originally designed by Michelle Mason in 2007 the fresh new remix has been commissioned by, and is exclusive to, Southbank Centre Shops.
Just in time for Spring there are also Mason & Painter branded soya wax candles plus greetings cards and cushions.
The best vintage collectibles
The Royal Festival Hall first opened its doors for the Festival of Britain in 1951. With this heritage in mind Mason & Painter present a collection of re-claimed garden furniture - planters & fruit crates, seed packets & watering cans, alongside grain sack fabrics from the early 1950s onwards which have been made into cushions.
All vintage items, products and furniture are for sale alongside the best of contemporary new design, complimenting the existing Southbank Centre ranges."

When - 1st to 31st March 2015
Open Monday to Friday 10am till 9pm
Saturday 10am till 8pm Sunday 12pm till 8pm.

Where - Southbank Centre Festival Terrace Shop, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, SE1 8XX

Forza Win's Spring Chicken Dinners in Peckham

From Thursday 12th March Forza Win will be back cooking at its Peckham home, in Copeland Road SE15, for a spring project based around chicken.  Called Spring Chicken (geddit?), it's £35 a head for a five course feast, cooked on wood fires, featuring '100 day chicken', with vegetarian options available on request.  Just one sitting per night, all pre-booked, and seated in big friendly groups.

"Our first ever spring project, in our Peckham home. We've spent the first few months of 2015 making changes to our space, and now have a dining table that suspends from the ceiling!  We're excited to welcome y'all for a 5 course feast that draws inspiration from everything that England has to offer in Spring, cooked on wood.
We still hold the same values - one sitting per evening, pre booked so as to minimise/ eradicate waste, wood fires, UK seasonal ingredients used to create Italian food, served communally to everyone at the same time, with natural wines, good music and strong cocktails. For this project, we’re using ‘100 day chicken’ served whole to the table, after some time across a wood fired spit."

When - Thurs - Sat from 12th March 2015 (for the spring)

Where - Forza Win, Unit 4.1, 133 Copeland Road, SE15 3SN
