Saransh Goila's Two Week Residency at Carousel in Marylebone

Saransh Goila, one of India's best new chefs with TV appearances, best selling books, and a spot on Forbes' Celebrity 100, is coming to London to cook at Carousel in Marylebone for just ten nights, between Tuesday 4th and Saturday 15th February 2020.  Three nights (8th, 14th & 15th) are already sold out, so don't delay if you want to try Saranesh's unique take on Butter Chicken.  Tickets to his set menu dinners are just £49.50 from here.

"Saransh Goila has single-handedly turned Butter Chicken into a religion in India. It’s not just his 277,000 Instagram followers who have lost their sh*t over his signature take on the classic Indian dish, it’s everyone (the key is the tomato to dairy ratio – 80:20 as opposed to the usual 60:40 – and, crucially, the infusion of smoke).
In addition to his five wildly popular Goila Butter Chicken outlets in Mumbai, Saransh is a best-selling author, international TV star, food columnist and all round mover and shaker. All thanks to his magical recipe for Butter Chicken. If that sounds far fetched, you obviously haven’t tried it yet. Now you can, as the centrepiece of an epic tasting menu devised alongside longtime friend and collaborator, Bhakti Mehta, that features one remixed Indian classic after the other."

Dinner at 7.45pm each night

Whole Beast ’Not Native’ Dinner in SE1

On Monday 30th September 2019, Whole Beast, the nose to tail specialists, are cooking at London Bridge’s Native as part of their ongoing ’Not Native’ chef series. In what seems like a perfect pairing, Whole Beast will be collaborating on a menu that uses ingredients considered ‘invasive’ to the UK alongside their signature fat, bones and offal.
Tickets are just £50 from the link below - and you can see other collaboration nights being held on Mondays at Native here.

"Sam Bryant and Alicja Specjalna met at Coal Rooms Peckham.
Now the duo are going properly primitive with their nose-to-tail concept, Whole Beast. Using flame, smoke, ember and ash to achieve subtle variances in flavour and texture - like pyromaniac sommeliers, matching different woods to different cuts for maximum taste – the pair pride themselves on using every element of the animal to ensure that absolutely nothing is wasted. Fat, bones, offal and all. Using both of their Norfolk and Polish heritage to create menus with both provenance and frugality over live fire."

Ravinder Bhogal's Vegan Indian Menu at W London near Leicester Square

The Perception Bar & Lounge at the W London hotel at the bottom of Wardour Street will be featuring a vegan Indian (mostly) menu from Britsh chef Ravinder Bhogal from Monday 5th March until the end of June.  The food will be great, and the inspiration comes from Ravinder's own experience of cooking for her niece after she became a vegan.  Plant-based food can be delicious, as seen by the explosion of vegan options around the capital.  Note that it's not a pop-up as such, as Ravinder will not be in the kitchen, but it sounds brilliant.

"From Monday 5th March, W London – Leicester Square will whet appetites again as the hotel’s Dining Series kicks-off its next collaboration with British Chef, Ravinder Bhogal.
Bhogal will combine her global culinary influences based on her heritage and travels with the daring and bold attitude of W Hotels, creating her first entirely vegan menu that will be served in the hotel’s bar and lounge, The Perception at W London, until the end of June 2018.
The menu has been created in homage to Ravinder’s niece who became a vegan two years ago forcing her to think and cook in an original way – to design delicious dishes that were satisfying, creative and nourishing, but were incidentally vegan too.
The menu’s goal is to use the most natural produce to create delicious plates that will excite self-identifying vegans and omnivores alike with dishes such as Besan Fritters, Coconut Yoghurt and Curry Leaf, Asian Mushroom Ragout with Sweet Potato Gnocchi, and Ravinder’s niece’s favourite, Caramel Tofu with Garlic Confit Rice and Chilli Smacked Cucumbers. Sweet tooth’s can also expect to be sated with Rose, Coconut and Cardamom Doughnuts and a refreshing Lemongrass and Lime leaf Sorbet served with Charred Pineapple and Cashew and Black Pepper Praline.
After a staggering reception with the Dining Series’ first chef, Magnus Reid, Bhogal will add further appeal to W London being at the epicentre of London’s foodie landscape. Bhogal rose to fame when she was named by Gordon Ramsay as his new Fanny Craddock, on The F Word. In 2016 Bhogal opened her first restaurant, JIKONI, to a rapturous reception in the heart of London’s bustling Marylebone and was named one of London's 100 Tastemakers in Food & Drink, as part of the Evening Standard's Progress 1000 list of London's most influential people."
