Happy Endings' Pudding Hatch at the Pavilion Cafe in Victoria Park, E9

Now serving - Hot puddings to take away at the Happy Endings Pudding Hatch at the Pavilion Cafe in Victoria Park (by the lake), serving Fridays to Sundays for the winter.

Perfect for the cold weather, Happy Endings originally took over the hatch in the summer with their soft serve ice creams; you can still get an ice cream, but I'd really recommend the puds - both the sticky toffee, and the chocolate fudge, both served with fresh, hot custard 😋

Terri Mercieca set up Happy Endings about 10 years ago, and you can now find her puddings and ice cream sandwiches in lots of London's best delis.

When - Fridays to Sundays

Fridays - 12pm-4pm

Sat & Sun - 12pm-5pm (ish)

Where - A hatch in the Pavilion Café, Victoria Park, Old Ford Rd., E9 7DE

(The cafe is next to the lake - see the map)

The Whisk Dessert Bar 3 Month Pop-up in Angel N1

Whisk is a dessert-only restaurant, popping up at Angel Central shopping centre in N1 for 3 months from 14th May - 3rd August.  It's open Tuesdays to Saturdays, from 5pm - 11pm, and a 3 course meal (of only desserts!) costs £15 with extra for wine and teas.  Expect lots of ice cream, sorbet, banoffee and mousse from patisserie chef Simon Jenkins.  You can book for groups of 6 or more, and the rest of us will have to form an orderly queue!

"Top patisserie chef Simon Jenkins and dessert-loving entrepreneur Randon Burns have teamed up again to bring back Whisk Dessert Bar to London’s dining scene. Whisk’s first pop-up in Bethnal Green last year was so successful that they’re now moving into a space more than double the size - and are staying for three months.
Open five evenings a week, Whisk will offer their unique three-course dessert tasting menu: amuse bouche, choice of dessert from six options paired with dessert wine or tea/coffee, and petits fours to finish.   Whisk’s aim is to redefine dessert; it’s no longer an after-thought and it’s not playing second fiddle to savoury any more.
Simon has created a fantastic three-course menu, featuring old classics which were so popular last time that they just had to make a reappearance – plus new, seasonal surprises.  He is an Inventive chef, mixing the savoury with the sweet, and is not afraid to experiment with all sorts of techniques and flavours such as ‘torched sweetcorn’, ‘avocado chocolate mousse’, and crumbled blue cheese alongside celery ice-cream.
Whisk is the brainchild of American Randon Burns, who has lived in the UK for many years but who “…misses being able to reward himself at the end of a long day of work, or an evening out at the theatre or cinema with a delicious, sweet treat.   On the theory of ‘if you build it they will come’ I’m excited to bring a really fun new dining concept to London, my new home.”
Simon Jenkins, the Chef Patissier at Whisk, is an award-winning pastry chef most recently being named the Craft Guild of Chefs Pastry Chef of the Year in 2018. He has been a part of restaurants winning 1 and 2 Michelin stars and has several major hotel openings to his name.
Whisk will open formally on Tuesday May 14th and will stay open until 3rd August.  It opens from 5-11 pm every day from Tuesdays to Saturday nights inclusive."

When - Tuesday 14th May - Saturday 3rd August 2019
Tuesdays to Saturdays 5pm-11pm

"If you goo down to the woods today... you’ll discover Creme Egg Camp!
Join your fellow eggsplorers for the return of Creme Egg Hunting Season, and venture into our covered forest to find the tastiest Creme Egg campfire treats…
- Forest-top Fongoo: deliciously dunkable, crispy campfire breadsticks and juicy strawberries, ready to dip into a molten swirl of melted Creme Egg.
- Campfire Cookies: utterly goolicious choc chip cookies, topped with broken Creme Egg bits.
- Woodland Waffles: campfire-fresh crispy waffle, with a garnish of Creme Egg and chocolate drizzle.
- Fire-pit Toasties: gooey on the inside, crispy on the outside – it’s the return of our legendary Cadbury Creme Egg Toastie.
As you make your way through the woodland, follow the sound of a crackling campfire to find fellow Creme Egg hunters sharing stories of their eggscapades.
Then venture further into Camp and make some some eggciting discoveries. You’ll not only find Eggsplorers’ HQ, but a giant nest which has the biggest Creme Eggs you’ve ever seen! Climb up to the tree house and look up at the constellations in the Goolaxy. Then whizz down the slide and hunt for the eggstremely rare White Creme Egg – it’s hiding somewhere in Camp!
